Much sports this morning and plans as I plot this days course of action. The morning has broken with much promise however the weather person has a forecast which looks to break the promises held.
Very exciting WS game #1 last night. I missed most of it due to the monthly potluck at Saint Michaels. NOT a catastrophe by any means as only game one. I have read the recaps and see it was a ‘thriller’ 5-4 the Washington Expos.
ARE YOU MIXED UP? THE TEAM IS CALLED THE NATIONALS NOW.
I know that but apparently YOU do NOT know that the team moved FROM Montreal to DC where they were called the Expos. I was a fan then and even went to a few games there prior to the 1994 move.
To hockey, hockey players are sometimes a half-a-bubble off which is all OK. With personal rituals, superstitions and such playing into pre-game routines, habits and life patterns.
Players are very particular about numbers. I always tried to get ‘8’ or ocho but sometimes it would be taken. One season it was taken and 18 was available and I had a great season so I stuck with it and YOU know the rest. History.
Here’s a link to a charming little story of a conflict, a younger player being gracious and the goal tender appreciating the move. Feel good time.
Work continues today and will be focused on painting one (1) specific tropical fish to complete a sculpture for delivery on Saturday. I have a few days but with painting one, THIS ONE, can not take any chances.
This spotfin butterfly fish is 90-95% completely painted AND configured to suspend and I THINK I detailed some of this in the last entry.
Anyway, I stopped at the Martin Place and they like it and want to place it in the exhibit but I must spiff it up and make this fish ready to hang.
Also on the docket gardening projects on the back deck.
Game #2 tonight as the Astros look to even things up.
toots from McK.
