7 Foreteen MMXX

An entire week since the Last Confession and that COULD be some sort of record but let’s face it. NO ONE is keeping score.

I thought things were lined up PERFECTLY for a full disclosure YESTERDAY however checking the calendar I saw the note to self. It was not only Monday and the 13th with a note ‘No planned or scheduled activities. CANCEL EVERYTHING.’ For safety sake.

So this morning you lose and here is a consolidated report.

The oppressive heat of the summer has arrived here at the Pecan Hill Riviera.

Sunday S1 aka Br12 now Bd12 had a playoff game in McK. Something odd about watching a hockey game in July is SO WRONG. I sat with his gf and we joked about having to go outside to get warm.

It was a bit chilly with tee-shirt, shorts and f-fs. She was dressed a little better for the occasion.

The Bulldogs lost to the Stingers 6-4. They kept it close but couldn’t get the lead. Afterwards Bd12 informed me that that was not there regular goaltender and another key defenseman was missing. He had a G and two helpers (A) (3 pts) and from there we came back to swim and lounge around the cement pond which is now worth its weight in gold. In fact filled with water MORE than gold.

One recently passed day it had to be 40° and I was in and out but mostly in floating and napping. Mercifully the twin palms provide some later afternoon shade which is luxurious. A nice cold adult beverage, a little breeze or even a draft is most welcome and another recent feature added is the JBL Bluetooth portable speaker.

COMMERCIAL: An OUTSTANDING piece of equipment for audio purposes, the Charge 3 is rated a better value than the LARGER Charge 4 and cheaper and higher performing. The only difference is the package is slightly smaller. Reading reviews carefully, the C4 has a mono speaker arrangement where the C3 is stereo.

WHAA ?? YOU NOTICE THAT MR TIN EAR ?

Oh yeah with this and especially on the old time radio programs. You hear creaking doors opening, all kinds of strange little noises that at first had me looking around thinking I wasn’t alone but I was and then I sorted it out. You hear actors coughing, lighting cigarettes and such things in the background. And the tunes are far crisper.

The C3 also charges faster than the little red SONY pill or pillow it replaces so all good. Shop, studio or pool. I even tried it in the car ONCE. Talk about overkill.

And speaking of ‘overkill’ … A planned road trip for this coming weekend was aborted or SCRUBBED. After a Friday night planning session, my tc made a couple of phone calls on Monday and gathered some valuable intel and SUGGESTED a reschedule which was very easy to second. Which of course I did until a later date which at this time looks like 2021 or 22.

Working my way slowly thru the Grant biography which is absolutely fascinating. With a little imagination (?), one COULD say he predicated (predicted …?) the BLM movement at and around the Civil War. ‘What would become of the negroes?’

The more of these historical accounts I read I learn things haven’t changed all that much. Politics was and remains a filthy business and the term ‘swamp creatures’ truly is not that far off.

And the media seems to be more hinderance that help at times vicious.

Between the reading and swimming sessions there are short bursts of creativity in one or any of the various studios from garage to conservatory to solarium. We have sold another painting the last small Watching the Shore (.4) and next one will be the FIRST large painting (IOW BIG $$$) but this will be the LAST ONE with the window cut INTO the panel for the shadowbox effect. Going forward all such paintings will have the ‘shelf’ out IN front or fixed on the painting.

All sorts of advantages should you be keeping score at home to the ‘shelf’ versus the ‘window’.

Much less labor therefore easier, faster and quicker. You can reposition the gulls, swap them out OR and this is coming, paint an underwater scene and incorporate colorful tropical fish.

Also thinking a a c ouple steps ahead and with a foliage painted background, a hummingbird on a shelf with a large flower in proximity.

Just thinking. I THINK much faster than I actually PRODUCE.

OMG !! YOU ARE A GENIUS … !!!

O eye no.

Today’s image is the spider lilies going nuts with blossoms busting out like white fireworks against the arching lush-green foliage.

Just spectacular to wake up and look at every morning and seeing what bursts forth overnight.

The flowers are so thin and delicate and truly the photo does not convey the size of the blossoms.

In other words, something is lost between the reproduction and standing and observing the plant in its full splendor.

Sometimes it shakes out that way.

I mean if I reduce the image any further the flowers nearly disappear.

Stay chilled out peeps.

Remained hydrated.
