UP early on this Saturday morning and I think cartoons are in order. I did more adult and age-appropriate news headline browsing out of the blocks however after the FIRST story, OK, the second was also repulsive and revolting I decided to revert to better days and better times.
I am ready to work dressed to get dirty as it will be a short day with a planned activity & outing this afternoon. A long-anticipated visit and tour of Profound Food farms is TODAY. I am supporting and intrigued by this small but poised for growth operation and over time will expand, explore and expound on this venture.
WOW!! YOU ARE THE GREAT ONE. THREE WORDS THAT ALL BEGIN WITH ‘X’.
Very good.
This past week saw a quantum leap and technology upgrade. The high-speed wireless internet service provider is in operation a couple of months now. My good friends at earthlink have not impressed me as they cannot comprehend an annual payment for their service. Lots of foreign workers with poor English skills working the customer service phones. No savvy.
The mesh network got hooked up and is fully functional and two (2) additional charge3 bluetooth speakers complete the network. The new ‘smartphone’ replaced by my magenta friends at t-mobile is growing on me. Like I have a choice. They shaft you even with the good-sounding ‘warranty program’.
But I won’t go there today because I have discovered a workaround I will execute between now and the end of the year and which at this moment in time is marked ‘classified’.
Yesterday was a great day for work and progress accomplishing artistic projects.
I experienced a major victory locating the flamingo pattern while cleaning the garage studio. I had JUST BEGUN a recovery workaround from square one (1) and wow. The moral of this story is ‘clean up’ more Bill for thou knoweth not what thou might find.
Also, this greatly accelerates a project series of high potential and anticipated value.
PRAY TELL WILLIAM. POR FAVOR.
I didn’t think you were going to ax but OK.
When Randy was cleaning his shop, he was going to toss these mahogany cupboard doors a customer ordered and then changed their mind opting for something larger UNLESS I wanted them.
‘Are you kidding?’ and promptly loaded seven (7) panels into Silver along with more treasures that day not knowing then what I could or would use them for. Well NOW I do. These will be spectacular and COMMAND $2-300 (or more) each.
Speaking of Silver, She is retrieved, stabled and all is well after last weeks trip to Sherman.
ISN’T THAT ONE OF YOUR FAVS? HOW DID THT GO??
Just great as always.
While at the dealership, I extended an inquiry to sales and axed about a 2021 Trailblazer. I met a nice salesman if that is believable. I told him the story of Silver, the repair history and get this, he said were it him he would keep the vehicle (!).
THAT impressed me.
The 2021 has a crazy electronics package and is intriguing in itself. More on this as it develops.
I stopped at Risk Shoe repair to check on my repair items. From there I walked across the square to Upholstery Girl to check on how Tiff had hung my work in her gallery. Her Dad was there and we three had a high energy three-way.
I next made it with some degree of difficulty to my new friend Glen’s. Still impressed with that rime.
The tour was most impressive.
Glen’s place is isolated and a vast empire. One highlight which is staggering was an 800 year old post oak on the property. It was growing there, in THAT spot when Columbus discovered this mess at that time called the New World.
Up close looking up at this massive tree stopped all thoughts in process digesting the size and age.
Glen said our mutual acquaintance Rick the Tree guy (arborist) had installed lightning protection on the monster and Rick told Glen it was the second largest and suspected oldest of the species in the state. ANY state record in Texas is huge.
We toured storage buildings where Glen had all sorts of various local and regional wood in the form of trees drying and being processed into lumber. It was as close to overwhelming as I could have possibly anticipated or imagined.
Then we went to Glen’s house for a tour and lunch. Glen’s wife was charming, gracious and lovely. She is from MA and a Red Sox fan so we bonded there.
The original house was build in 1865 and totally refurbished to current award-winning potential casa magnifica.
I got to go.
I am starting to nod out and spin into oblivion witnessed by seemingly low-value babbling.
Time for another cup of coffee and resume projects. I can finish three (3) Christmas gifts THIS MORNING and start the mahogany flamingo series.
Much anticipation ... running high and running HOT.
