Is has been a whirlwind and with the new week, we get a new season with the solstice slipping in.
Birthday wishes have been flooding in. OK, so it’s not a tsunami but it’s OK. It’s GROWTH and that’s all that counts. The Substack views are approaching double digits which I KNOW is NOT viral nor is it a flag for approaching financial security.
The point is it is FUN and now as age advances if one CAN have ANY fun, fully clothed or close in the summer and you can avoid hard jail time, DO IT.

From the golf world and important sports the US Open wrapped up. Some Fitzpatrick kid won. Favs, Will Zal had a good show but soo close. My buddy maverick John Rahm faded on Sunday. He is NOT a media ‘darling’ but that’s OK. He’s not a phoney. Canadian Adam Hadwin hung in there until the end and Rory Mc was sharp but not quite enough. I was also routing for Adam Scott. He’s from Adelaide where my strange (or is it estranged ?) sister lives. I did not know that.
So on Monday (today) I learned the ‘hard way’ that I missed a holiday. Apparently now some places are observing ‘Juneteenth’ as a four, FOUR (4) day weekend. One place took off early Friday 'for the holiday'. Another had offices closed today which is MONDAY again 'for the holiday'. Any excuse NOT to work I'm thinking.
And here I THOUGHT it was in OBSERVANCE of MY birthday AND Father’s day. You know good Father’s get little to no credit. Sure, Al Bundy was a hero as was Chester Riley. But overall Dad’s have become d*cks.

Uncle Joe, being the consummate politician, recognized a photo-op and cracked up. Like the Secret Service agents were going to let him hit the pavement …
To me it looked like an old man, maybe, perhaps and probably even a body double. The photo released thru their media outlets showed a fumbling old f*rt trying to regain … ANYTHING … disoriented, the helmet pulled down blocking full view of his face and keep in mind that THIS photo was carefully selected for IMPACT to media outlets.
If EVER there was an 80-something yo, feeble minded goof ball riding a bike without a helmet, that would benefit SO MANY MORE if he WERE NOT WEARING A HELMET, I say ‘Go Joe, run again.’ Take off the helmet and ride on like a man. A TBI under such conditions would HELP you in the polls (!).
