Saint Patrick’s Day 2015

Happy Saint Patrick’s day everyone. So who was Saint Patrick? Why do we celebrate him with a day anyway ?

Good questions & I will sort thru it in a minute but first, a setting.

I am up kind of late. It was warm yesterday & sunny for the irst time in months actually warm. I found the ceiling fan made the evening most comfortable.

I am doing a controlled experiment and need to take another step. The last two days I got bike rides in and experienced a different sort of sleep. Also, yesterday I passed on coffee & that caffeine jolt for the estate-blended tea. I have noticed a difference with the morning beverage of choice before and I have not been exercising regularly as in the past when I was playing hockey. NEWSFLASH ... exercise DOES help sleep.

That would be another reason I miss not playing.

Scans of the morning wires & inbox basura for this day … IT News … researchers are using radio technology in the form of sensors to make the ‘smart house.’ Or so they are calling it. Also, in a separate article in the same vehicle, a Chinese firm that developed a fitness wristband is close to a breakthru on a ‘smart shoe.’ Holding our collective breaths on that one.

Trending on facebook, twitter & google this day, of course St Patricks day. I am preferring to spell out Saint as it is a title of high merit. Saint Patrick actually died on this date in 461. I do know that Saint Patrick was from Ireland, moved away & came back and was made a bishop at a young age. The relationship to the color green, driving out the snakes etc is to sell cards & attempt to commercialize the Holiday by people like our good friends at Hallmark. What is so wrong with just observing a Saint’s Holiday for the sake there of? Last thing, green beer. OMG. How SICK is that ?

So, I am about to wrap up. Two images today, the green club, icon of this day for the unanointed, or the shamrock. Simple little plant but the green is the thing. I other is Saint Patrick most likely from an illustration from Scriptures for selfies were not fashionable at that time.
