Colonial: Day III

Saturday is my OFF day not to work and actually truth be told I got far away from the course and golf leaving Friday night after dinner out and back to the friendly digs of the cloud.

Dinner was at a new Mexican seafood place just down Seminary Drive that you can actually see from the favorite old haunt Vallarta. I mean you simply cannot miss the purple (or lavender ?) reconverted house from far up the street.

Fare was good but nix on the cerveza which was ALMOST a cause to get up and leave but I stuck it out.

The menu was mostly Espanol with limited Ingles even so I recognized ‘maricos’, ‘cocteil’ and ‘pulpo’ so I went with that. It was good served in a very large and deep cocktail glass. In addition to the octopus chunks, there were shrimp, fish and oysters so it was quite tasty and spicy. Chips were good and the salsa hot but not crazy.

While home, I checked the grounds and security and AOK.

I mowed some lawn, did some edging and rested up.

My bed was like an old friend and I realized that the Seminary was slipping as far as comfort standards when compared to home.

Who was it, Dorothy I think, said there’s no place like home?

Waking up leisurely, I farted around and made a couple of plans. Head by to FW, Mass at St Andrew’s at 5:00 and supper at Vallarta. If I had time, swing by the Pottery Barn for that large piece of faux coral.

I had tournament meal tickets remaining and I entertained the thought of dropping in at CCC for a hamburger and watch some of the play but opted instead to watch the tournament from the room at the seminary which I did. Live coverage ended just as I had to start preparing for Mass. While watching I checked the Mass schedule at St Andrews and Mass started at 5:30 so it was perfect.

Another case and example of God working tending His flock.

One lost sheep anyway.
