Monday 24 F

Running out of Feb and none too soon. Good riddance, arrivederci. From the lofty perch of the second story solarium, I notice two things.

The sun is rising more left than right or shifting towards the coming solstice and a neighbor, termed loosely, is stooping to pick up a dog turd on the sidewalk.

I mention the latter only because here of late I have noticed humans (lower case) walking, jogging or running in the street. I had a whiskey tango foxtrot moment as I elevated this phenomenon to ‘trending’ status wondering why were we maintaining the sidewalks ?

Then I thought further that PERHAPS they have reasons. Like their phobia for uneven sidewalks and a possible fall was more probable and less likely that being struck and killed by one of those big colored things that rolls on four (4) wheels.

I soon gave up this thought process very glad this lady COULD stoop and WAS picking up the poop so were I to walk on that sidewalk I wouldn’t step in it and spoil my day.

It was a very nice weekend here. A little cold for my tastes and preferences but it is afterall February.

Today I must vote. Early voting is a blessing. One of the candidates I will be voting for I have a meeting with on Thursday to discuss the feral hog crisis. This will be the second time I have met with Representative Sanford in person and once we had an appointment and he was sick and we talked on the phone to discussed issues. BTW he WAS sick

Here's another story NOT worth reading. I mean is NOTHING sacred anymore? How can they prove something like this? Ancient aliens claim this is still going on … Besides, it is very dark and cold in those caves and finally what goes on in the cave STAYS in the cave.

OMG. YOU ARE DISGUSTING AT TIMES.

WOW!!

Like I haven’t heard THAT in a while.

WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON TODAY?

Well, thanks for the segway honey.

I started a painting yesterday. A little 8x10 acrylic on canvas after 3-4 prototypes or test attempts on paper. I was at the point where I was seeing far too many mistakes and was about to paint the entire canvas white and start over when I saw a small, no TINY spot I really liked. I mean A LOT.

So I stopped and walked away to the garage and came back for a revisit, refreshed, resumed the effort and carried on and this morning in the fresh light I am pleased to report I have PLANS for this painting. Like 4x6 prints, note cards and of course the original. This obviously has been a ‘planned’ thing but uncertain it this will be a series or not.

ANY CLUES TO SUBJECT MATTER OR ANYTHING?

Purple iris, black background, very quick with bold and feathered brush strokes. Quite stunning if I must say and I expect it to only improve as teh process continues. I think floral prints on black is stark and striking and can be marketable. The next step would be taking the print to fabric and a line of clothing.

It is appearing that Watching the Shore.4 is about to pass WS.3 as soon as today. With .2 done, .3 is the same size so I am favoring the larger .4 over having another unsold .2 in inventory in the form of .3. The slightly larger gulls of.4 are easier to carve and work with and this set is finished carving and ready to begin the painting perhaps as early as tomorrow if I can have another stellar and productive day.

If only the weather will cooperate and be bad.

I haven’t checked yet for today but we just broke over 16° yesterday and already the sun is shining.

Did I mention that?

YOU DID MENTION THAT.

Very well. A bike ride would be desirable however I notice the near trees are doing a tango and the taller trees in the distance are doing a waltz so hopefully the weather will make my decision for me.

Must post up an run.

No image today but use this instead.

Imagine if you will yours Truly flittering around the castle like a butterfly or hummingbird going between projects creating revenue AND (potential) sales.

Actually FINISHING a project.

THAT’S a happy ending.
