Memorial Day 25 My
The flag is out and just hanging in the dead air. Very humid, still the threat of more rain is high reminding me of the summer vacation in New York when these conditions were first observed for about two (2) full weeks. EVERYDAY FOR FULL WEEKS.
Just as well I am thinking.
Last night during Bosch, (season 5 up to episode 9) I drafted a list to attack today and includes ALL the usual activities listed here on previous occasions so no sense repeating. Training rides are OK until Wednesday and I am altering the schedule slightly around showers to pull in rides AHEAD of the schedule to get rides in before 1 Ju and formal training program begins.
WAIT. I THOUGHT YOU WERE NOT RIDING AND HH100 WAS ‘VIRTUAL’?
That’s correct however unlike everyone else I am making every attempt to go on with a normal life and activities as normal. Besides, the weight has begun to drop off and I want that trend to continue.
Now mornings jumping on the scale is easily BELOW 180 and feeling better and happy about that. Small victories are going a long way.
This morning I activated and performed the first chigger protocol. Not sure if it was truly a chigger but in the night I noticed the sensation of a dagger in my right thigh about half way up. The little bugger might have planted the flag of Insectovia and deeply.
The small victory or good news out of this incident is that as ugly as it looks(ed) it IS responding to the treatment and at least feels better.
That’s it for this report.
I have coffee left and there is a metric tonne of admin work that is cerebral, demanding and focused on legal projects to be addressed this coming week. I can’t go into full disclosure mode because you REALLY don’t want to know AND it’s none of YOUR business.
But one is the roofer/roofing issue and another is the sale of 811.
It is a Holiday so no official businesses are open anyway.
Memorial day will be observed on 31 May on the Calendar according to Bill as was the case prior to 1970. Major Federal Holidays shall NOT be moved. The Monday ‘convenience’ holiday’s are lesser and will be celebrated and observed in this manner.
If the 31st were to fall on a Wednesday let’s say, either take more time off OR stop EVERYTHING to observe Mittwoch. Report and return to work as normal on Thrusday. Elegantly simple by design.
During a break I shall make calls to check on status of peaches, plums and the bluets.
