Au LAST
Catchy title COULD have been 30/31 Au however I am recalling using that one recently. I came oh-so-close to postig up yesterday and 8:30 all day but failed to launch and separate.
That said, I had a great day yesterday with accomplishments against the Plans.
Reiterating and recapitulating … and only the highest of highlights …
I made contact and got all of the necessary information and data for the display panels needed for the next upcoming show in Houston. We also spoke about their panels for the Galveston event in October so all good there as well.
I built up a 24 x 48 inch frame for Watching the Shore.X.
It is number 10 (ten) in the series and I have two (2) large ones ready to sell and a third hanging over the mantel that could me moved for sale and replaced later in a pinch.
Other projets artistiques that saw progress are the latest four (4) fish. Two rock beauties and two humuhumunukunukuapua'a. Somewhat excited to get to painting them.
I am thinking today I need to spend some ‘saw’ time cutting and assembling small frames and tiny boxes to display the small half-body fish.
Fish, bases, logistics are about half for today.
A received an electronic mail notification that my brand new gas edger has been shipped and arriving today.
Actually PUMPED about yard work today. The yard & lawn looks close to ready for a ‘friendly reminder’ from the HOA IOW bad. The Master Plan is use the gas edger than for the next 2-3 or more times the hand-manual edger for the ease of use.
I am thinking (hoping) the string trimmer has one more session of string left before that bridge to cross becomes a crisis. All good.
I am thinking with the ENTIRE estate grounds manicured, trimmed and spiffed, photo-op for the Christmas card or mid-winter therapeutic viewing.
A shortish bike ride would be nice on the hybrid/trail bike. I am most curious to see if I can mount up and NOT rev up to a racing or competitive pace. Just a relaxing casual ride to keep the metabolism up and the weight coming off. Down to a steady 171 (lb) which is stunning.
Also yesterday I contacted a trainer/instructor for skating lessons.
WHAT? YOUR RETURNING TO THE ICE ??
SHHHSH ...
I got to see how it goes. S1 aka Bd12 formerly Br12 has been ‘casually mentioning’ I was ‘at least as good or better’ than a few on the current Bulldog roster.
I could make a serious commitment. I THINK.
I mean this is by far the best condition I have been in in a few years, perhaps since I last played AND I am NOT getting any younger. The thrill of scoring a goal still causes goose bumps and then you miss all the little things one forgets like the sounds. The aches and pains are always minor.
OK. With the reduction in training and art show activities rapidly approaching there are metric crap tonnes of things to do and get after.
Again yesterday there were a number of surprises in the garden. I harvested four (4) tomatoes. OK, so they were the size of marbles but halved that's eight (8) would do a salad for one.
There was also a cucumber hiding kind of like a partridge in a pear tree. Again not huge but I have a strong feeling it is going to taste like a cucumber I remember.
I thought I noticed some garlic plants growing as volunteers between a crack and yesterday again I pulled up one of the dried plants and pulled out 8-10 large cloves which had me absolutely giddy. These were larger and beyond expectations marginally shocked for the size area they were in.
I harvested and now have dried my own fresh 2021 oregano. Been enjoying personal pizzas with all the good fresh items. I am convinced cooking for oneself, eating when hungry and taking in high-quality fuel is one of the ‘secrets’ for a healthy immune system.
I was speaking to an employee at local Winco yesterday that when you eat out it is costly and processed food. You don’t know who handles your food, how careful they are of how, if they are sick or where the food comes from.
Far too many variables in these turbulent times we are experiencing.
That is all for now.
See you in S.
