Good Friday 15 A

The year I spent in Florida, in solitary confinement, there was a guy named Wolf.

Wolfson was his surname, so somewhere in his lineage dating WAY back perhaps to the hunter-gathering days in caves, there actually probably was some connection to the canine species.

Sam was his common name but like William few referred to him as Samuel.

One Friday, I was talking to young Wolf casually and I mentioned every Friday was Good Friday inferring that the weekend was upon us, free time, no work and led in from there.

Wolf was quick to correct me here. Every OTHER Friday said the young whipper-snapper, would be Good Friday for we were paid on alternating Fridays. As quickly he followed with the Fridays that were not paydays we, the flock, experienced Passover.

From our correspondent RajPatel covering the subcontinent of India submitted this news item from his territory. I am thinking Big Brother is monitoring and influencing my news content solely and strictly to aggravate and irritate your reporter.

Four men arrested for ‘raping’ Bengal monitor lizard in western India caught my eye and I decided to read on until disgust overtook curiosity. Technology busted these four pukes (pervs) for violating this poor large lizard in what MUST be a fake news story. They probably figured the lizard wouldn't talk or press charges.

The shame this poor lizard must be enduirng.

Free the lizards, death to lizards and Lizards Lives Matter.

Huge a lizard, kiss a lizard ... NEVERMIND.

It's a MONITOR.

I mean THIS is how far we are going for ‘news’?

Nothing new discovered on Hunter B’s laptop today?

Uncle Joe had no major gaffs in front of or offending some head of state?

Perhaps the sun was shining and his handlers decided not to let him out and didn’t want to run the risk of frightening him seeing his shadow.

Today would have been my Dad’s birthday. Not sure exactly how old he would have been or even how long he has been gone. I miss him and pray for all he gave me selflessly and sort it out by remembering him which is the most important part.

On the trip out stop at K-Roget Percy King of Self Checkout jumped me with the hopped-up inquiry of did I know what happened on this day?

I was shocked that he might know but I answered ‘my Father’s birthday.’

‘No. In 1865 and 1912, same day?’

Well, the gloves were dropped and it was time to take up the cerebral challenge.

My first guess, 1865 Civil War my FINAL answer was Lincoln’s Gettysburg address. In 1912, WWI and I wasn’t as sure on this one.

‘No’. He quickly drew out his PDA, smart/dumb phone and proceeded to ‘share’ photos he had posted to his facebook group.

‘I don’t do fb. Sorry’

In 1865 Lincoln was shot. He died 2 days later at 2:00 am.

In 1912, the Titanic hit the iceberg and sank at 2:00 am.

Then he looks at me kind of goofy like there was something truly significant about 2:00 am.

Now I just wanted to leave the store.

More proof someone is filtering the news …

All of a sudden I am receiveing a plethora of ‘news’ stories from Indian NOT from RajPatel. I suspect something is going on. It's either google or chrome 'leaking'.

WHY? If there was EVER an IDGAF response from ‘news’ from ANYWHERE, it is there …

In an early Home School lesson to FB & S1, this is an example of a slow news day when US media sources dig deep for a sensational story(ies) from that part of the world. I mean if 200 or 2000 people perish in a train wreck, it’s a drop in the bucket. What goes on there NEEDS to STAY there.

I wonder whatever happened to the Wolf?

IF YOU WEREN'T SO STUBBORN YOU COULD LOOK HIM UP ON FB.

Ms Bold Caps, that was rhetorical and a tool to wrap this mess up. You have succeeded only in prolonging this little exercise and keeping me from attacking my list of things I need to be addressing this day.

Company arriving, plants to set out and the inventory build doesn’t get done when you behave in this manner.

You’re FIRED.

I wonder whatever happened to the Wolf?
