Groundhog Day 22

It COULD be 2/2/22 ... just saying … spin ALWAYS lurks just beneath the veneer.

Such a date only comes around every 10 -100 years or some such nonsense. You can, CAN, figure it out OR visit msm as they ALWAYS GET IT RIGHT.

I have many bases to touch here this morning and as yesterday a growing number of things to do and issues and items to address as I am sure you do as well.

From the mailbag, burning question for today is ‘Will GHD remain on the NEW calendar according to Bill?’

First, the short answer is absolutely in the affirmative. In fact, I THINK I addressed this very issue last year in this vehicle that it would remain, NOT eligible for the Monday holiday and weekend extender, and began detailing how it was going to change over time.

Sure.

It will always , ALWAYS be the 2nd day of second month. Not a FULL (Capitalized) holiday as mail will be delivered , government offices and banks will be open like THAT makes a difference and personal discretion if you want to work or not. It shall be looked at as an optional floating mental health day.

Over time look for a re-branding or renaming. Something like National Rodent day. Photo-ops for politicians, free zoo admissions, things like that. Kind of like what Saint Valentine’s day has become.

Other topics of interest, moving along and ‘breaking news’ …

Foul weather is just over the horizon as forecasted cancelling a planned trip to Houston. I’m in good shape for a short storm and no need to panic. Water, firewood and food all in and ample supply and NOT forgetting the toilet paper.

Yesterday I got to the 90-95% point painting the emperor angelfish. Another day like yesterday and the next post will have an image of this project. I am THRILLED with it and the progress. Today the smallest of brushes and tiniest dabs of paint and LOTS of patience will complete the project..

The next upcoming deadline/event is 11F for a local exhibit, show and sale for the month of March in a local gallery.

That application is 90+% so I am thinking send that in well before the deadline to clear the plate and get it out of the way.

I got drawn into some youtube garbage videos watching the talking heads spout and regurgitate their venom, gloom and doom. The country is indeed in sad shape HOWEVER the world continues to turn.

Balance, moderation, common sense must continue to be filtered closely and carefully.

Last night I was listening to the local town hockey team had to laugh and got upset that they once again pulled defeat from the jaws of victory AT HOME to the Calgary Flames. The Flames have a great coach in Darryl Sutter and with a couple better than average players and some solid mediocres the game can be played with a high level of success. I am questioning more and more if the Stars players are THAT good, the coach is not cutting it or the radio media/broadcasters are on uppers, cool-aid or some combination of crack and funny candy.

I got to cut and run.

I can feel the temperature dropping inside so it MUST be doing the same outdoors.

Moving or MOVEMENT on my part will remedy the cause slightly which is all I really need to do for the short term.
