Sunday. XXX Ordinary time

Cloudy this morning, calm 20° with a balmy gentle breeze. The day is starting slowly and week after the show in Galveston things are returning to half-normal.

Recovery is still underway, slow and certainly not complete.

I finished repairs to five (5) tropical fish which were damaged either coming or going to the last show. I mean I cannot even see without looking very closely where the breaks were. That is why I offer the lifetime guaranty on my work. I can make repairs easily and it is FAR BETTER that learning later the customer tossed the piece.

I read the Mass at Saint Guillermo arcangel and continue to be amazed, blown away and overwhelmed by the Mass, readings and the simple elegance. Communion was hardtack for bread and a small of Friday’s meal wine which was incredible.

I found in the cellar/wine rack a bottle of Reserve Speciale 2019 Bordeaux from Barons de Rothschild.

Not sure how or when this bottle came into my possession but it was a pleasant surprise and a true treat first with the smashing shrimp skillet supper Friday and again with Communion AND there is more left for further celebration(s) later today.

I WILL find something to celebrate and enjoy the label which will be today’s image.

The readings today were noteworthy as was the Homily. The prayer after Communion I had to read and reread 3 or 4 times before it sunk in. One advantage of not going into the church.

This is a day when a longer ride would be in order but I am now thinking a one (1) hour ride will be a success and satisfactory.

Last night was ‘movie night’. I actually turned on the telly and watched a movie on amazon prime. I saw the trailer weeks ago, it looked good and I was finally getting around to. The Manor trailer and theme was interesting enough but I must have dozed off for when I woke up, and it was nearly over and it was like I didn’t miss anything. In other words, very predicable.

From the world of sports real quick, congrats to the Braves and the Astros and cheers to a great World Series. So glad the la wigglers got beat and aren’t there as well as the yanks, only slightly sad for the Red Sox. Now that it is over, I can say that they were not the better team coming out of the Tampa Bay series. I think were they not the home team in the deciding game, the Rays would have advanced.

ARE YOU SAYING THEY WERE LUCKY?

Perhaps. Son One (S1) stopped around yesterday and of course we talked baseball and sox. Underperformers for Boston ... Bogearts & Sele. Sele was great while he lasted but endurance and stamina weren’t up to pre-surgery levels. Bogearts failed miserably in critical situations more than once where he used to deliver. This seems to happen when young phenoms move to ‘stars’ with the large contracts. When he gets traded to the yanks he will get good again and haunt the Sox.

The red Sox broadcasting team needs to lose some dead weight. This remote fan finds Will F aggravating, annoying and irritating to listen to. He seems to be happy when the visitors get something going and is quick to criticize the sox players. His voice and delivery otherwise are so vanilla he needs to move 'on' to espn.

Frankly I think that is his goal.

While I like both teams, I followed the Braves for the five (5) years I spent in SC and of course now living in Texas its go Astros.

That’s about it from the cloud.

Doing laundry and going about the business of life and living. I've got this miracle cleaning solution from HD that gets the commodes SPARKING clean. It reminds me of fine china after such a cleansing.

The plan is to attack, clear and clean the garage so that I can get Silver in for the night. Put away and organize the artwork inventory for the next show which I don’t know when or where that will be. I got an email initaion to Lubbock but the deadline was too quick to get it together even to plan for this year.

I am now leaning towards the Holiday bazaar at Tupps brewery here local. If I can get in. Not excited either way. I have done this little local show before and done well but if it is full, oh well. I am good with it either way.

Also, make and tweek Plans going forward. Get in the spa, relax, sip the remainder of todays image and let the hot bubbling water do its thing. Next weekend I have a contract job driving so that little payday will be welcome.

It’s so nice that things are settling.
