XXV M 21
A roller coaster day has started here at the cloud. It rained hard most of the night with brilliant lightning flashes and thunder mostly in the distance. I was half-expecting a large, local boom like an artillery shell landing at any moment as I drifted off.
After the first daylight, the sun burst thru the clouds and the shine was inspirational and motivating.
Then another cloud (I think it was a different one anyway) blocked the sun and I became depressed.
I decided to listen to some OTR and got an episode of Fort Laramie. Feeling exceptionally lazy, perhaps it was the waiting for the artillery shell to find its mark, I opened a browser and chased a rabbit down a worm hole subject ‘Ft Laramie’.
First, there WAS/IS such a place and I scanned the history filing useless but interesting trivia data in files buried deep in my little 286.
I followed a couple of links, toyed with a trip to Wyoming and found a ‘favorite’ section ‘Notable People’ from Laramie as in Wyoming.
SO WHERE IS THIS GOING?
Well, in that listing I spy ‘Bill Nye’ NOT the ‘science guy’ but ‘American Humorist’ passing away or crossing over in 1896 (1850-1896) well before and NOT to be confused with ‘the science guy’ (W.Nye II).
I looked at some of his biography and found this Bill Nye I (the FIRST ??) of interest enough for a future adventure to a local library and see what they gots of his works if anything.
THAT’S IT ?
Yes, ‘THAT’S IT’.
I am moving on to projets artistiques.
The WWAF probability is approaching Ø (zero) and even the backup plan of McK Second Saturday/Arts in Bloom that same weekend is approaching the 10-day weather forecasting window and right now it is for rain. Depressed but still NO NEED for 'meds'.
Well-realizing this is very likely to change, in the moment, THIS MOMENT, enthusiasm is on the wane (NOT wain OR wayne).
Closing with something catchy from W.Nye I … ‘We can never be a nation of snobs so long as we are willing to poke fun at ourselves.’
Today’s word of the day is ‘hobbit’ … a fictitious creature living underground.
DO NOT be one of these.
