Struggling this Sunday morning early finding it difficult to start the engine. Late yesterday I realized the cause of the problem and there was nothing I could do about it.
I made a magnificent supper and had finished up the first helping and suddenly I was down for the count. I awoke to a gentle popping sound and when I gather my wits realized I had fallen FAST asleep really FAST and the popping was rice grains and it was coming from the stove. I thought I had turned it off.
IS THIS GOING TO BE A MARATHON?
No.
Earlier in the day I had submitted to a flee fru shot at local K-Roget and thought nothing of it or any possible reactions or side effects.
This clearly was one.
Naturally I sampled the NOT burned portion but it was only slightly more crispy shrimp fried rice. It had gotten dark and I didn’t notice any real difference in taste so I put it in a leftover container in the refrig to enjoy again.
On Friday I also managed to vote. I was going near the polling place and popped in. Brisk level of activity and minimal wait time. Very nice. I declined the idiotic sticker.
One comment/op-ed. Why are we voting for so many judges?
Not being overly familiar with every single candidate on the eballot, I used an algorithm which I will share because I cannot decide which cartons to watch this morning.
If ANY candidate was running unopposed, I did not cast a vote for this is a harbinger of a communist takeover.
I was focused on REP and the REP got the nod over DEM especially if the DEM was a girl.

I did vote for one oddball candidate a LIB or GRN and that one had no chance against REP tax collector and incumbent K Maun. I am TIRED of seeing that SOB’s name on so many documents demanding money and payments.
What else?
Yesterday I received first delivery from Profound Farms. Pretty cool local farm direct operation. A little pricey however if anyone deserves to make a profit it would be farmers and this group advertises ‘farmers helping farmers.’

For right now, it’s either cartoons, wood work, painting seagulls or cleaning.

Oh, I am missing the GREAT State Fair of Texas.

Being the 18th, it is my ‘off’ day on the new calendar but it being Sunday, I have the option and I love options.
The day now is wearing on and as a break I took a dip in the spa. Two beers, the first two in some time, succeeded in getting me just a little loopy so I throttled back. Now I have accomplished so much I am once again in a celebratory mood but no coke. Nothing really to mix it up with.
Oh well. Perhaps I will just skip it and do without.
I undertook a massive project yesterday. I rerouted the wires and cables on the home entertainment center and tried hooking up the mesh network. I got stuck with connecting the network and their customer service folks don’t work weekends so first thing Monday.
Also Monday, start investigating ripping out the speakers and going to a sound bar OR if the mesh network will cover it I wouldn’t need anything else but we shall see.
I don’t miss football and kind of glad the Astros lost. I heard one of the shit-brained announcers babble that if Houston won game seven (7) they would be the first (1st) team since the 2004 Dred Sox to overcome a 3-0 deficit to win a playoff series.
If the Braves don’t dispose of the effing LA baseball team I will be all in for the Rays. It the Braves win, it will be just like the Stanley Cup Finals. I will be happy with either team winning.
