I TOTALLY MISSED not mentioning numerically significant day 1-5-15 with last entry. Just a little minor slip up on my part just to prove that it happens to the very best of us.

Still striving to make this vehicle purr & roar on command but the struggle will linger longer so keep hanging in there & if you see something, YOU have the OPTION of reporting it OR looking the other way. I can live with it either way.

Trying something different today with a nightly recap rather than the ‘pre-game’ I wanna do’s & plans for the day so here goes.

Sitting very comfortably in Armchair One waiting for the Dallas Stars to puck off against the Blue Jackets from OH. Supper was as delish as it was last night. Patty can over after a blistering day at the office for some therapy & comfort food carelessly referring to the dish by her as ‘mush.’ Actually it was the NYE black eye peas extended with pork sausage & vegetables for a 2nd last night & a 3rd & final time tonight. I like to think of it along the lines of the biblical ‘loaves & fishes’ and can foresee this type of modest dish feeding hundreds during or after the zombie apocalypse.

NO ONE CARES ABOUT THAT. WHAT WAS ACCOMPLISHED TODAY OGO ?

I subscribed a while back to this idiotic e-newsletter ‘About Social’ Shareables Today in History, Headlines & Trends. This day Teddy Roosevelt died in 1919. Nancy Kerrigan got whacked just before the Olympics & Samuel Morse demoed the telegraph. Indicative of the caliber of today’s news … Headline (dubious): Judge lifts Ban, Gay Weddings Begin in FL. Be interesting to see the stampede of queers into FL to take advantage of this little decision.

Away from commentary and onward to task…

I spent much or most of the day upstairs working. Nearly finished the refinishing effort of the magnificent carved wooden bed frame obtained at the estate sale last Fall. Looking better than expected or anticipated. Always the mark of a true masterpiece.

At breaks I worked out lifting weights. I had the laptop set up on a dresser playing the huge amazon playlist (digital music) by Bill to keep things moving and I alternated doing letters, getting tax questions together for a call to my accountant this week as well as updating the Master 2015 Plan & things to do. So it was fairly productive overall.

Mr Postman delivered a check from the rental property tenent & a Christmas card from Oz aka Down Unda with a check for Bill’s new children’s book. The card was interesting to your correspondent for the inside message for sure but also the ‘fine print’ on the back. Totally different, foreign & alien but in a socially acceptable & interesting sort of way.

Speaking of Oz, Emma sent an email & it seems internet service at their end was experiencing intermittent difficulties. Get this … when they call to complain to the ISP about service & customer support, guess where the call goes ?

If you guessed the Philippines, you WIN. Yep. It seems that group of small islands is talent rich when it comes to ‘customer service’ recruits. I think I have spoken to all three of them myself.

So as you can clearly see it is pretty much the same all over. The grass probably isn't any greener ANYWHERE else but blue in KY.

That’s about all I have to report on this evening. Stars already quickly down 2-0 and will be heading into the first intermission down & have their work cut out for them. The back-up goaltender is nervous & a little ‘porous’ this night.
