29 January 2015

This will very likely be the last entry for January. The month has sped by and now eleven (11) more months to go. The next report should be coming from Florida. Not going to give too many details for security & safety concerns. Afterall, there are a LOT of lunatics & crazies running around.

I am taking a short afternoon break from packing watching the Adventures of Superman. A color episode. Very cool. Clark Kent was a very stylish dresser & Lois Lane VERY HOT in full color.

The preps & planning are moving to Execute within 48 hours. Because we are driving, a car top cargo carrier will allow for more toys. The evening launch will alternate drivers twice (2) with a sleeping space consisting of a mat, sleeping bag & little travel pillow in the back with seat down. There is a cooler with partial gallons of frozen water packed with the perishibles & beverages & a dry bag for road travel snacks to the lightest of meals. Once the show gets on the road, stops are minimized for when you are stopped, you aren;t getting there or making progress.

Golf clubs & gear, bikes, cloths as well as the nuclear footballs all have there stowage places. Books, magazines, cds, dvds adapters, chargers & cables all accounted for.

I completed final check & repairs on the bikes. TrekI hybrid had a minor seat adjustment & a computer malfuntion requiring attention today. A second TrekII was purchased this week & is now 100% tailored to my tc Betty.

Silver presented a small problem. After an oil change & check-up Monday, she sat out overnight & Wednesday when we went to run about town, Service Engine Soon AND Engine Running at Reduced Power idiot lights BOTH came on AND REMAINED ON. A rodent, most likely a squirrel, had started to build a test & in the process gnawed a couple of wires.

I hobbled to the dealership where repairs took longer than expected & today I am over $500 poorer. Or MORE poor. A mild set back & it could always be worse.

This morning as I was waiting for the call, I was working & used the garage door opener to lift that door from the kitchen. Not a big deal but as I pointed it towards the garage & activated the switch, the tv went

out with a ‘quiet pop’ and then I noticed ALL the electricity was off.

Long story short, there was a temporary power outage & no harm done.

Anyway, Superman is over for today & time to get back to work.

Aloha from the cloud
