SPLASHDOWN

If you have been keeping score at home, you will know well by now that there were no reports filed from Florida. This is the first since, the first for the next new month & Fans, where to start, where to start ?

We could paint this report red, you know, the color of ketsup or catch-up. One reason, perhaps THEE reason, that there were no entries the past ‘X’ days was that too much fun was being had.

CARE TO EXPLAIN THAT ONE OGO ?

Not at all Emma. That’s what I am here for, that is (only) part of what I do & I can only WISH that that is what I got paid for. But the world IS an unfair place & life is far from perfect so all I CAN do is react, report & regurgitate the spin for the benefit & delight of my readership ... those that follow the ebb & flows of intelligent life here.

Anyway, as I write this brief account, it is very early am. The exact location is undisclosed & classified but suffice ‘Houston’ for the sake of this report. In quarantine, for observations centered around general safety & global security for all those directly OR indirectly involved. AND the innocent, unanointed & can I say unclean? Conspirators, co-cons or otherwise.

OF COURSE. YOU CAN SAY ANYTHING.

Not really. I mean I KNOW it’s MY blog/vehicle. But anymore Freedom of speech now comes with an asterisk. Heavy on the RISK.

One runs the RISK of impropriety, cultural insensitivity or CRUDENESS for comments socially offensive to others.

Case(s) in point. You CANNOT call a spade a spade. I have not met a Richard (lately) that was called Dick. And God forbid shortening the nomenclature of a raccoon. The lexicon is being tragically shortened as we dumb EVERYTHING down removing the last traces of color from the language & conversation.

See? There I said it & another jailable offense with 'color'. I don’t think you can use that or say that as freely as one once could. So shame on ME.

As I said, I am semi-isolated after re-entry here in Houston. The last three (3) nights were spent in Florida, (Orlando), LA (Louisianna, NOT CA but NOLA as the locals are fond of calling it … more later), TX (Houston) & maybe, hopefully back in the cloud tonight. Tomorrow if the green light fails to turn on. The big concern (I think) was NO. We saw the unsightly underbelly only unfortunately but more on that later in the broadcast. Contamination could have occured anywhere. Let's face it.

Yes the trip & travelling is very exciting & much fun.

SO WHAT DID YOU DO?

Where do I start … ?

Well, I can tell you that the full trip report has been started. Countless photos were taken & a recent review during a sleep break refreshed memory of those only on the CAMERA camera (not to be confused with the PHONE camera) and there are many excellent substitutes for milliwords. (Think thousands of words ... photos ... get it ?)

It is going to take some time to compile in a manner suitable for sharing here. However, for a quick teaser, there was an alligator encounter in FL, a NOLA adventure gone wrong and then there was the actual road or travel time. Leaving DFW Friday afternoon, driving straight thru for 18 hours was a blast. Breaking down the FL stay, kayaking, golfing, biking & touring stories of which details abound. The return trip, complete with very early AM FL blast off thru the dawns early light to land, making camp & the boots on the ground explorations of New Orleans. Makes one wonder what might have happened or where EXACTLY was OLD Orleans?

Now, resting & recovering a few hours from home, the projects and all of the things-to-do are going on a list spinning like the LED display on a gas pump when filling Silver or any fossil fuel-driven beast. That would be FAST or very quickly.

I have sold a duck decoy carving as I may have mentioned. I had expected to finish it while in FL but failed. I did make great progress however & was able to share the project’s progress with my client here last night after arrival & they were delighted. I can now finish it at home & ship it when complete thanks to the graciousness of the client. It is a gift for one of their dear friends so I was ORDERED to take my time & when ever it was ready & I was happy with it was fine. This is perfect as thus far I am very happy with the piece and it can only get better to completion.

We had a meeting for the HH100 Wicked Strong Racing team planning committee last night. All go. Ronzoni was in the building and certified 100% on board. The rest of the Team is making plans. Like sponsorships. Fans, this is going to be H-U-G-E. Initial plan was for an smaller RV but now it is looking like we will need to plan on renting a much larger MOBILE HOME to motor to WF,TX for the race in August.

Hey, listen. I need to run. There is a knocker at the door for more blood work. More tests before I can be released. Must move along little doggie.

Aloha from quarantine.

Bill out
