Ides of March 2015

Morning. It’s another pure gray morning. Don’t know what the day is holding. When I get upright I walk right into the path of a lightning bolt.

So, like Jake said, another pure gray morning.

I found myself mildly amused with the idea of a patron saint for backstabbing connivers. I don’t know who that might be but I have had enough first hand experience to NOT want to know enough to investigate further. Like allegies, avoidance is the most prudent form of treatment whenever possible.

A Sunday, historically significant I think because of Shakespear’s glamming up this day in his play Julius Ceasar. I was reading on the dribbling enewsletter Weekend edition that he (Ceasar) was stabbed 23 times. OK then. A bloody mess I am thinking but that was ancient Rome.

Last night there was a rare hockey game on. Not rare because it wasn’t the hometown Stars but actually a game between two pretty good teams. On semi-network tv no less. The powers that be like to not broadcast ANY games on Saturday night because they want people to GET OUT & GO to games on Saturday nights. Think revenue streams as in admission, refreshments & concessions. I watched with the one good eye doing something else for most of the time with the balance of my attention. I think the final score was 2-1 Montreal or maybe 3-1 with an empty net goal late.

...don't know what the day is holding ...

Yesterday also great strides towards completing taxes. Over 90% I am thinking. Review today for errors, polish if necessary, make copies & send to Lisa tomorrow. DEFCON I, highest priority.

... they want the water not the wine ...

I went to Mass early so I could take a turn before hand around the square in Historic Downtown McKinney. Yesterday was the new ‘Irish Festival’. First time for the Irish to have their time slot on the square for such hoopla. Only five (5) hours & one day & the weather kept the crowd small. It will be interesting next year to see if the weekend before Saint Patrick’s day gets a ‘festival’ or not, five (5) hours or longer.

The end is in site for the Matthew Kelly book. It is a good read but slow & greuling requiring much discipline. Discipline is the chapter I am currnetly cutting my way thru.

Three games on telly here today so there is a treat. The first one at noon from the east (11:00) here so the wait won’t be long. Between periods or boredom breaks carve, paint, clean & read perhaps. Stars v Blues at 5:00. And an evening tilt with two contenders,

The plants all get watered today. I need to be fed as well. That will be a chore. Patty gets back in town late tonight so she is not in any equation this day for meals or adventures.

There is Santa Fe days in Carrollton today & yesterday. I looked at the website yesterday & was not taken by the content. Plus the weather forecast PLUS the game schedule & other activities it was pretty much a no brainer. Besides, I was at the real Santa Fe only a few months ago. I STILL remember it. All the Indians, SORRY ... Native Americans, selling beautiful jewelry & artifacts.

So there you have it. How things sit here at the cloud on the Ides of March. I have an image, need to find the right picture. Coffee is done brewing.

The Day Plan is complete.

This is Bill, punching EXECUTE …
