3:30 2015. ALL DAY

clock_3 30.png

You heard of the broken clock being right at least twice a day? Well, today it is 3:30 ALL DAY.

Get it ?

I woke up & before rolling out I reminded myself exactly how & why it was so great to be alive.

The windows are open, fresh cool air, the ceiling fan going & it is neither too hot nor too cold.

One reason, the main reason, is that there is no one to complain about either one either way.

So I get up & go about my business which includes bringing the ROW up to speed.

March is finally winding down. ‘March Madness’ will doubtless carry over into April no problem as long as Spring carrys over. Today for instance, the sun shines but a light jacket is needed to be comfortable outdoors only as the day begins & I line up projects.

So welcome to Monday, the weekend report wrapping up comings, goings, adventures & near mis-advenutres of the weekend past as well as possibly PLANS for the near-term future. We shall see & time will tell.

WILLIAM TELL?

Funny Mom.

Tea this morning. Estate mint with a few sumac berries tossed in for tartness. I don’t know if I mentioned it, probably have, that the sumac berries have the tart flavor of cranberries BEFORE the good folks at General Mills added the tons of sugar. Not truly bitter, pleasant & a source of vitamin C. So there.

Late Friday afternoon the weekend began with a haircut followed quickly by Stations of the Cross. For convenience, I found myself at St Mark’s in Plano. I grabbed a couple fo fish dinners & met up with Patty at her place to leave for the theater. This night Patty would by the tc, not travelling companion this time but theater companion as we ventured to the Undermain Theater to see The Testament of Mary. The full review is posted at the ESSAY tab from the Home page, look under ENTERTAINMENT. A great show on multiple levels.

There was Mass Saturday always good.

The rest of the weekends activitites included some yardwork, housework, colored some eggs for Easter. They didn’t turn out so well even after a call to Mom. Not sure if it was a function of the dye on the eggs, poor eggs or bad water but things just weren’t going well so I put a halt on that & may try again later today. If all does NOT go well, I could be eating hard boiled eggs for quite some time.

Patty came over on Sunday for moral support (could be read as 'leadership') with yardwork, moral support, supervision & general overall … motivation staying ‘on task.’

We had a knock down, drag out game of bananagramss that ended just before things were going to get bloody. Hers I think.

I hadn’t played b-grams since FB moved out of 811. Yeah.

Before we went separate ways I helped her make a necklace / pendant for her sister. We need a few more white turquoise beads to finish the string so a trip to Richardson is in order sooner or later. I must say it looks quite cool so far.

Son One reached out electronically. He wanted to stop around & pick up his golf clubs. He is playing the wicked game with some work friends today & Son Two borrowed that set of clubs for a Father;s Day outing last year & teh clubs were still taking up space in my garage. He is slated to return this way tomorrow night to watch the Stars game as the local hockey team’s playoff hopes continue to dwindle.

So we are into Holy week leading up to Good Friday & Easter Sunday. Look at it like Ramadan for Christians in the event you are having trouble.

I got to beat feet already & run.

There is an exceptionally long list today & I am betting large that I will not get to everything before S1 arrives. Reading, painting, going yard with watering transplants, ripping out excess mint, some carving would be a treat. I need to work out with a brisk bike ride. All these activities should make fasting a non-issue this day.

Now that I have some free time to reflect, this would not be a bad morning to play around of golf.

It is SOO hard being me.
