Four Ten 15

I know you are paying attention and I know that I was going to take a few days off AND I said perhaps even take an entire week off.

So here I am.

SO WHAT DO WE OWE THE PLEASURE ?

First, FB, the Masters recap of day one BEGS for a remote report. Secondly, I am up early & like the opera singer, writing something, anything, gets my brain going, blood flowing and emotionally charged for the upcoming day. In this particular case, the charging applies to & should carry me into & thru the weekend.

So much goes on & is going on.

The first day of the Masters or any professional tournament is like a horse race start & the gate flies opens with the ponies busting out & bolting down the track for a vicious loop. But unlike the horse race, the golf tourney is over consecutive days & the participants are humans not horses.

So yesterday, Charlie Hoffman posted a -5 (five under par) for an early lead. This got me excited for I met, walked with & got a signed ball from Hoffman at the Colonial last year. I would like to see him follow up with three more good rounds but I am not going to bet. Bill Haas was on the leaderboard which is another player I have associated with. Nice guy.

I was watching on the computer, ‘streaming’, very cool & much better that the telly. FEWER commercials streaming, much more action with different players from different holes & I found it more like actually being there. At 2:00, ‘LIVE ACTION’ started on ESPN ALT (alternative) & I had both going & that was very cool. Best of both worlds & once again, mastering the technology and having it all work as advertised was somewhere between fortunate, nirvana & a Blessing.

Anyway, to wrap up this brief wrap up, Jordan Spieth floated to the top of the leaderboard. Did I mention I had a signed golf ball he gave me two years ago? He wins this major & ka-CHING-a-roon-oh $amantha.

Now moving along …

Big day in store & on tap. Emails to fire out, correspondances, gardening & of course the continuing & most urgent carving projects of priority the BBWD & Cb for the DU fund raiser next Thursday. Todays photo is a BBWD (black bellied whistling duck) marching.

HOW IS THAT GOING ANYWAY ? CAN WE GET A STATUS OR PROJECTION ?

Projection? Forecast? This is starting to sound like W-O-R-K …

With a good day today, I am talking very fine detail carving of the bills & final carving of feathers, especially tail areas, I could seal (think ‘prime’) both so I COULD start painting tomorrow. I can think of nothing better than painting each & both with the Masters going on in the background. Unless a succubus visitation …
