OK Class. Pay Attention. We have a test this morning. Multiple choice for today’s date title. Is it a) First for May, b) 5 * 3 = 15 or c) Cinco de Mayo eve ?

Either one would work actually. Yet another Twofer follows as this will be both the weekend recapitulation & the upcoming weeks plan(s).

Things are getting tougher with nice weather to capture highlights & details. I fully expect it to get worse before it gets better & winter arrives. Here Emma NOT Oz. Speaking of Oz, my vegemite is running low. It is an acquired taste but the B vitamins are stellar so I eat it anyway. Patty likes the wicked salty after-taste.

OK then.

The KofC golf event was fun, enjoyable but not even close to spectacular. Missing too many shots, too few good shots & great shots maybe one or two & those disappear from sight to deny the total enjoyment. So I see myself walking away & retiring form the game I once loved. Hey, fecal material occurs. Things change & people change as well. There are way, WAY too many other things of interest on the radar right now.

Saturday as mentioned I made an appearance with Va at an Earth Day festival at the White Rock Lake Bath House & Cultural Center. She had to work & I was a moral supporting non-worker.

I got a hot lead & found a local mycologist that is most interesting. I didn’t actually FIND him but was referred by an organizational booth supporter who supplied name, phone number & email. I was first interested in field identification & gathering edibles but the lady said this ‘urban farmer’ actually GREW mushrooms & sold them to local restaurants. So I reached out by phone this afternoon without success & an email this evening. Still waiting for a reply.

After the show, we took bikes around the lake for a spin. It was a good workout.

Also, next week I will be in Houston. Matthew Pearl is on tour promoting his new book & signing at a stop in Big H. I figure I’ll take all three (3) of his books that I own & buy the fourth & get them all signed. Botta-bing, botta-boom.

Stop & see the FB’s, this gen & Next. We need to have a team meeting for the rapidly approaching HH100. Team Wicked Strong needs to produce the fecals or vacate the commode. I have the milestones, dates, jersey info but the ridership are lagging. I have been informed the pool will be opened there 1 May so I am sensing mojitos, peel & eat shrimps & testing little FBNG to make sure she is getting her mother sufficiently ‘revved up’ from time to time.

Sunday was another training bike ride in McK. Va decided padded shorts were now necessary especially BEFORE the next ride. So afterwards we went to Bikes Plus in Allen for some gear for her & had lunch at Panevino. They make the best little pizza with the perfect amount of anchovies.

Totally missed the Kentucky Derby but the winner American Pharoh was number 18. I'd have played the number.

Another busy day tomorrow. Can’t divulge details yet as some job hunt opps are rising an ugly head.
