Twenty July Twenty-fifteen

OK, so it’s another painful Monday morning & I missed an entry for 18th, but you know what? I had a dream one time, I looked in my rearview mirror & saw ALL my x-es hot on my heels.

SO WHAT DID YOU DO ?

Well, weedhopper, I did the wise thing. Stomped on the gas & didn’t look back.

BUT THEY COULD BE GONE OGO.

Correctamundo HOWEVER they COULD just as likely be GAINING as well.

So what did we learn ? DON’T LOOK back.

Forward & FAST.

So this Monday morning black coffee and with the intermittent MUTE key on the remote watching 144th Open. Indeed Life is good.

You might not be following such an activity in your bubble, on your island or cloud but here it IS a BIG DEAL.

Weather conditions, normal weather for that part of the world even in the summer, is all over the place. Without boring the readership, over the weekend tne winds were so strong that the breeze was blowing the balls so causing them to start rolling. That’s wind sufficient to move GOLF balls.

Then one morning it rained causing a three (3) hour delay as at the 2015 Colonial so that the late groups did not finish before darkness set in for that day. So it was a collective mess. The Powers that be at the Royal & Ancient decided to play the final round on Monday. A mid-summer treat & bonus for those of us that can watch live or somehow record.

The remote with mute gets a good test during such an event. Commercials & ‘commentary’ from talking heads NOT can be but ARE blithering for idiots. Thank the Lord this technological advancement is functioning as advertised. A true blessing.

Watching intently Jordan Spieth who if he wins today will increase the value of the autographed ball on the rack in the office/study. Also, routing for the Aussies Adam Scott & Jason Day. Sergio is getting hot. Phil is phinished but showed well. Luis Oost is bouncing near the top and it would be cool if one of the amatuers won such an event. Not crazy about either of the Johnsons winning.

Also today at the conclusion of golf, some yard work PERHAPS. Conditions outdoors could be extreme & dangerous so we will NOT PUSH that envelope.

There are art projects to work on & complete eventually one day. Hopefully sooner for at least one or two of them.

Got an order for a cross. Due or needed Thursday so need to hump on that one. A new design. Customer saw the prototype & wanted THAT one. OK.

Patty was over for beach, picnic & splash time. Sunny & very warm, some great beers & a bike ride which was probably ill-advised in hindsight. I mean there was not a soul out outdoors due to the intense sun & heat. Patty dropped out after two laps while I finished the third before supper. No joking, it was brutal.

With the remote on mute, concurrent reading Absolute Friends becomes easier. Getting the pace of John Lecarre in this one is well past the century page plus the story is getting good, the characters well & better developed.

So that’s it for now. Sort of half-expecting a call, email or word from Emma touring USofA from Oz for a couple of weeks. Just don’t know. Last word was she was about to depart.

The fitting picture here is me teeing off 18 at St Andrews. In plaid & plus-fours no less some years ago.

Finish the last half-cup of gourmet Ethiopian coffee, now THAT sounds odd but it was afterall a gift, watch the golf & make plans for ROW (rest of the week) in this case. NOT the rest of the WORLD.

Staying COOL, always … Bill
