Notes & clues for optimism.

I withdraw from using ‘hope’ for it is too strong & offers too many implications for the lower echelons.

So listen up. It has been a whopping four (4) days since last confession so here is the briefest of updates. Any complaints just recall that you are getting what you paid for.

Yesterday I motored to Bonham in Fannin county & picked bluets for the final time this year.

Also called on the Unknown Farmer & got some potatoes as well as the schedule for other crops coming on later. Bluets were near the end. Semi-difficult to harvest with the sun & heat index but the berries were very sweet & the end-of-season price reduction was in effect. So today I MUST process. Going to can some, freeze a few & jam/conserves with some.

Cleaning spam folder early this morning I see an important email.

A career fair at a local company I have been wanting to get on board with. Tomorrow night from 4:00 – 7:00. Interesting because it is from the HR person I made contact with via cold call then introduced myself when she did ‘an event’ at the Texas welfare office. Guarded optimism is the classification state I am in with this. Should I get an offer, I am shuddering to think what it is going to do to my creative projects.

I had to turn down an event with Va for tonight. Non-profit fund raiser (go figure THAT one out) at establishment downtown. Too many projects demanding attention on the home front & promising to only get worse. Can’t be gone that long.

That’s about it. Water outdoor plants to keep them from burning up. Harvested a beautiful yellow bell pepper yesterday & started by cutting it up for a salad. Very nice. Probably the only one I’ll get.
