Ate-7/8/9-twenty-fifteen

Alright then. Looked at ONE way, the numerically significant day/dates hit too rapidly in sucession for me to possibly keep up. I mean 8/6, 8/7, DOUBLE 8’s, 8/9 all could have, maybe should have, each had individual entries. Perhaps. But in this case … NOT.

What a stretch !

It has been hotter than blazes because afterall it is summer & this is Texas. Thank heavens we have a lagoon, ac & a working ice makers for now. (insert smiley face)

Patty was over to stay cool. Saturday morning we went to Mitas Hill Vineyard & Winery to begin the annual harvest of the grapes. An early start beat SOME of the heat & actually picking the grapes was more tedious & difficult than last time two (2) years ago. This is a good bunch. Most had little immature greenies that needed to be separated either when picked or at the next operation station inside.

This is not the actual harvest. Harold & Co make it a little party for the loyal, faithful & inquisitive to see what the process is like from harvest (start), crushing & bottling (finish). They served up a nice lunch for the workers in the new restaurant which was nice with a complimentary glass of wine.

Sunday morning was Mass followed by a bike ride. Patty was having trouble with front brake pad so we cut the ride short & later we took the bike in for an adjustment.

We found a new pizza joint for a late lunch & made contacts for improving their offerings of tee shirts while watching the golf.

After a dip, we washed cars. That was fun. There were a couple of movies from the Red Box. I have already forgotten the names. I could remember if I tried but I have too many other things cooking in there right now plus I need to move on.

Recall Wekiva Springs where we kayaked last March ? Link here is video report of an alligator attack there. Looney lady was swimming upstream from the island bar where we rested & then turned around. A mile upstream near the weeds is ASKING for trouble.

OK. That’s it for now. I have a lengthy list today & my mind is already wandering to a training ride & the other to-dos.
