Ides of Augusto 2015
The PGA championship is shaping up to be a real horse race phans & I have A LOT of the horses in the Hunt. Matt Jones at the top at the MOMENT. I was with him TWICE at Colonial & have TWO (2) signed balls. One black, one red. Should he win, I would sell one for $100 K.
Jason Day is in the Hunt. Justin Rose is there. Jordan Speith is lurking & Scooter Piercy has moved up nicely. On top of all that, one Eldrick Woods, fka ‘Tigger’, will likely miss the cut. He is missing putts at EVERY opportunity. I should be recording his play. Long over due. As Yt from CA stated so eloquently in recent email, he was OK until he let his zipper down.
Today's photo, from Bill's Ball rack, focuses on Matt Jones' balls. Notice the two, side by side, no question the signature is the same. The one with the burgundy kangeroo is Jason Day & next to that is Jordan Spieth. The one with the dripping red plasticized wax is from one of my sponsors. It is resting in a Coke cap.
Elsewhere, Harold’s birthday party was a nice tidy affair. Great food, the wine flowed & music was superb. The Family knows how to throw a party. I made a new friend. Marylew was a friend of the Family visiting from AZ. Very nice lady, very energetic & vibrant. We talked about the usual things, kids & travel. She has a collection by her estimate of 60-70 THOUSAND music files. I found this staggering & it generated many more questions. Another interesting factoid was she didn’t watch ANY tv. She had ‘cable’ but only for when visitors wanted to watch telly.
She taught dancing & gave dancing lessons she said. I IMMEDIATELY saw the train wreck approaching & made strategic moves to AVOID. Dancing is on my leaking bucket list. That would be a list of ‘life’ things that can be avoided & usually is. I am referring to public speaking, which I did when I was in the work force speaking in front of a large group or groups speak. Cats & pets are avoided but tolerated for short periods of time only. Allergies are legit & confirmed by testing so avoiding is wise according to a long ago nameless forgotten allergist.
OK. That’s it. A training ride here soon early before conditions get unpleasant. Not sure 2 or 3 hours today. See how I feel. Swim, resume normal daily activities. Patty is coming over later for supper & a swim.
A nice day.
