9 9 2015
Number nine, number nine … come to think of it, every third day in September could be declared numerically significant ... 9-_-15.
I must remind myself & therefore you as well that the ninth month, September, would be my conception month so I am expecting good things or even great things to happen so waiting patiently with some anticipation.
Speaking of good news, Emma checks in yesterday remotely via electronic mail. She is stomping around Lubbock and also experiencing some stress. I felt bad for her frankly. She is here on Holiday & has been shanghied mercilessly into a childcare machine pro bono.
I am going to have to write Emma a prescription to use profanity. She is just too nice & politically correct for her own good. I mean sometimes you must just get it out, let it go and then recover.
Call the turd a sh*thead and move on. The former therapist used ‘duty head’ as in dog duty to describe such a character. SAME THING !! Whatever ... !! How about Whiskey tango foxtrot ?
OK. Shortest of entries this day.
The iced tea this morning is just off the chart crazy good. It is ‘raining’. Smartphone app says ‘light rain’ in teh area but barely. I see an occassional drip off the roof but the concentric circles have not appeared on the cement pond.
Big day in the studio yesterday. Much progress on signage. Really happy with the design & layout of the name sign for the booth. Clean, neat, simple & elegant. Continuing on that today. Very exciting. The image will appear as a name plate (or tag ?) on the View from Duke's. That sign is getting oh so close.
Also taking shape yesterday, the brochure. I called my good friends at Minuteman Press McK and got a site for templates. This brocure will mirror the website very similar to an expandable business card.
Plan is for about 50-50 text & pictures complete with a ‘flow.’ It’s a good thing I have lots of time until the show & am not working. Watch something break & I get an interview, offer & job between now & then & screw EVERYTHING up.
I still need to get to Cal’s to cut blanks for crosses. Two operations there will save tons of time.
Then pack & ship to brother to cut out. Where I have a weakness for making straight, measured lines, Bo has a complete shop & makes furniture so measured, square, true & straight as in lines are second nature to him. He is process oriented as well so I expect the crosses to spend more time in transit than actual touch labor.
OK. Must get an image or two here before getting dusty, dirty & sweaty.
Don’t expect much or even anything here for a bit unless or at least until I need a mental break. If you’re in the hood, stop & witness progress, poetry in motion & a talented artist working.
