ten five fifteen

Bill here. Full report follows striving for brevity once again. Numerically significant day with the number pattern so have some fun with that.

Biggest deal & item(s) of most interest is weekend activity.

Golf Friday was a blast & a success. I completed an essay ‘On golf …’ which is about 90-95% completed that captures the day. Will finish & post … soon. Our team played well & we finished tied for third (3rd) but lost in a scorecard playoff with a score of 56 (28-28). A good bunch of guys for sure & a good cause.

Saturday night was the theater with Patty. Had dinner at sunset on the roof of a bbq joint overlooking downtown Dallas skyline & a few blocks from the Undermain Theater. Very nice. Had the entire roof to ourselves. The play was good but puzzling on some levels, hard to follow at other times as the actors/characters were all speaking Shakespearian which takes some acclimation to appreciate apparently.

Sunday morning I missed the alarm watch going off & was nearly late for Mass. I mean I beat feet & arrived just in time.

Four (4) October is Saint Francis of Assisi day so that was celebrated. I am thinking we will put this date as the ‘major’ observance on the calendar according to Bill moving 10-4 & national CB radio day to secondary status Good buddy.

In the afternoon, we decided on a change of plan since it was such a beautiful Fall day to move up the Fair Day from next weekend to this. Next Saturday is the Texas-OU game at the Cotton Bowl there at Fair Park & having fallen into that trap the first year we moved here, that is a good time to AVOID.

We had a good time walking around. Finally found the pin vendor after much searching that we found last week with Brother Bo & S1. Patty bought a gift for a Grateful Dead fan friend of hers.

We also located a cool place in the Beer Garden. Local craft brews, places to sit in the shade & watch the tourists float by. Sufficiently close to being hammered, we got home safely which was a huge relief.

So today the plate is once again running over.

Must secure financing for spa heater replacement. Must order some carving supplies. Must work on some outside gardening activity pushed out with yesterdays change of plan. Must get some progress made on the various projects.

This vehicle has once again served it purpose of getting me organized & fired up for the main things that need to be attacked this day.

NONE are ‘doable’, I HATE this word & people that perpetuate is usage. Its continued use MUST BE DISCOURAGED & FURTHER removed from active modern vocabulary. What’s so wrong with ‘achievable’ ? Too many syllables for most people I am thinking. Most of the time.

Also have to jingle the printer on thoughts / progress of the new brochure.

Another to add to the list ... sauerkraut. Watched a video on the www about 'pro-biotics'. Turns out sauerkraut is a natural source for the Lactobacillus AND after some additional research, SUPER easy to make. But it's going to have to wait for a bit this time I am afraid.
