11/7 or Eleven seven 2O15
Dyslexia has set in. It is showtime and oh thank heaven … 7/11.
Got all set up & arranged commando style.
A poor volunteer axed me if I needed any help. I told her that I had been doing things on my own, by myself for long enough now that I am hard-wired to not only do it but get it done as smoothly & efficiently as possible. Intuitively.
I think she thought I was being a jerk, wise guy or smart alec.
I had no intention of hurting her feelings if I did. I was in a bit of a hurry & needed to get things done & complete the mission.
10:57 am
At the show & underway
.
Slow going at the moment & ‘cash flow’ is approaching disappointment. But on the upside, MY Christmas shopping MAY be done.
I have also gotten ideas for a couple of shirts. A neat rugby-type with a large flannel number on the front on the left side & a crest/shield coat-of-arms on the upper right. I am wishing I could have taken a picture but the phonecam was DOA WRT battery. So I did a quick sketch.
11:19 am
First sale !! A cross for $15. Five (5) more & I am into the BLACK !! Lots of interesting people. Fun chatting with them.
‘Next time’, use multiple tables & configure in a ‘U’ shape to ‘draw’ customers in to further engage. Great idea from one of the volunteers.
12:31 pm
The Coke ordered with lunch is SCREAMING for a splash of Makers. My Kingdom for a baby Makers !!
1:12 pm
Two (2) ladies, both artists, stopped with great leads & info. Tony A is also actually a blogger. We chatted & she shared a lead for the McKinney Creative Community, a creative ‘networking group’ in town that meets monthly.
Then Linda, an artist with a high-pitched, squeaky voice who is left-handed and had her left shoulder SHATTERED & replaced in a skiing accident, was a formally trained artist who did large wall murals in her career. Got some good info & cards from each.
2:02 pm
Inside of two (2) hours & low battery warning light has come on so shutting down.
Aloha until later. WS
