This was going to be a day off however events have lit up the switchboard, the inbox runneth over and frankly Fans want to know. Tomorrow, the 18th, has never been a day off on principle as one can CLEARLY SEE I am becoming a victim. However this is the price one pays for wearing the celebrity label.

Speaking of celebrity, Chuck Sheen apparently is running low on attention so he makes an announcement. He has AIDS. Oops … ‘is infected with the HIV virus.’ SORRY !!

Local FOX affiliate says he is worth $125 MILLION so its OK.

But the REAL BIG news is overnight weather.

I awoke first at 3:09 and read back to sleep until 4:04 when the warning sirens went off. I broke a rule & looked a my smartphone and sure enough. The sirens were not a FA (false alarm) and the Weather Channel app indicated a tornado warning.

Reading the entire warning, near the end it said seek shelter immediately because it was ‘difficult to see or monitor tornadic activity in the dark.’ Seriously. So …

I activated the local house protocol for such an event grabbing my pillow, phone, pillows & spare blanket & nested up in the in-house tornado shelter area. It rained hard at times & the wind was audible once or twice while I was awake. It got calm & I figured ‘this was it’ the calm before the storm. Reassured, I fell back to sleep.

Once on a business trip to Wichita, Kansas, I was in a hotel when such an event occurred. I recalled it was deathly still just before the wild winds ran thru. The sound or the passing freight train is spot on.

But the train did not materialize do I fell back asleep most uncomfortably until 7:57. Let me say the shelter is not luxurious however I could sleep stretched out but the floor will never be mistaken for a mattress.

I rolled out of the shelter like Pecan Hill Phil and all the books were on the shelves & the place looked no worse than when I turned in last night. I was spared !

Turning on FOX4, muting the commericals, I eventually learned local damage was very minor.

Muting commercials is very cool and needs to be a new & developing trend. Trending … muting commercials. It is an example of utilizing technology for something TOTALLY useful.

I give credit for this to Patty. It becomes quite cool actually. You actually watch & try to figure out what the commercial is for. Then YOU look for trends. For instance, lots of food commercials. Lots of drug commericals planting subliminal seeds that now you can’t hear so that’s great.

OK. Unlike yesteday, I have some things to do today.

For the record, I feel warmer & overall better like the threat of illness has passed. I have much more energy and even made a list late last night to get after this morning.

First is install new ink cartirdges in the printer/copier & print some things, copy some painting instructions so I can return the books to Cal. Figure out Thanksgiving & artistic projects for the next show AND which show(s).

Besides, Kelley & Michael came on & I cannot stick my FINGERS (plural) down my throat far enough.

I suppose Chasing Hitler or Ancient Aliens might be on …

Decisions, decisions …
