Ate December

Bill here. Now. With some time to kill. Up early for Mass at 8:00 or 8:30 as today is the Feast of the Immaculate Conceptionm, A Holiday Day of Obligation. I could go to Saint Michael’s at 8 or Saint Gabriels at 8:30. Still TBD at this point in time.

Celebrations such as Holy Days of Obligation WILL BE included & emphasized in the new & improved calendar by Bill. We are working in committee to include ramadan but the jury is still out. Our muslim brothers should have some recognition and taking off the entire month to goof around is noble & worthy of consideration. The committee is not considering fasting and all the other more traditional observations. This is where the path bifurcates.

This is most assuredly be the last entry for a few days. The weather is supposed to take a wonderfully wicked turn the rest of this week with highs breaking back over the 20 degree mark and sunny. Sunny & warm is bike riding weather. Sounds good doesn't it ? I was talking to Walt yesterday & he is in for an hour at least once or the first time.

My initial thought was 3-4 hours but talking to Walt I returned to reality. Get one hour & one ride done first and see how two (2) feels. If I get one ride inen, try for a second day & finally the third day ride consecutive days & increasing lengths is aggressive & ambitious but hey, THAT'S WHO I AM !!

Not expecting Walt on all three but I really need the work.

Christmas cards & letter is in the works & on schedule.

Yesterday I made split pea soup with the leftover ham bone. Fans, forget the color & consistency of what I best recall as baby poop, it is killer. AND I have a LOT of it. I was looking for yellow or ‘golden’ split peas but that will have to wait & be a goal for next time. I have twelve (12) containers of different sizes to work thru, sell or give away. It is thick, rich & nearly decadent (def 3).

Also, I did get some work done on the By water sign yesterday & more today. I want a payday this week.

Lunch today with Harold about an event & a deal for a show at his winery next year.

I started cleaning & tidying up my office this morning and need to get that in better order.

Laundry would be nice & due.

OK. I see it is time to clean up if I decide on Saint Michaels. I am thinking Saint Gabe’s is closer & gives me another half-hour.
