Too-oh Jan 2016
Dank, dark for this hour of the day and bone-chilling cold. In a word, dreary. But life does not stop under such conditions. See your therapist (JK = joke/joking), pop a med OR, best, READ ON …
Todays image is precisely why you ALWAYS count your change. I found the image a great segway from the previous dispatch WRT currency reform and a superb talking point on many fronts so let me jump right in.
I always count my change not necessarily looking for old rare coins but rather because I have trust issues with humans that dispense change or currency at a cash transaction. In fact, truth be known, I also count carefully my change from machines as they also are capable of ‘mistakes’.
Why just last week at a local merchant, a long-hair lad, pierced & I am sure tattooed somewhere, gave me the incorrect change. I called him on it. He miscounted shorting me. That IS NOT about to happen. I am thinking good thing he has only two (2) ears & earrings to account for in the morning getting ready for work.
Notice the phrase lower left of center ? Good idea. And the image of the winged Goddess ? SMOKIN' HOT.
My current read is a collection of hacking horror stories by one of the greatest such hackers ever, Kevin Mitnick. It would be extremely easy to imagine (then pull off) within the range of reality. Someone, even an insider at Walmart or a similar retailer, to ‘program’, skim or siphon off a few pennies on the dollar electronically & NO ONE would be the wiser.
Direct the EFT to ones own account and only a sharp (read VERY sharp) auditor would catch such a scheme.
So yesterday I had a date with a new lady friend. I picked up Martha & we had a simply delightful day at the Kimball Museum over in Ft Worth. Looking at & discussing the finer points of the artwork on permenent display & the rotating travelling exhibits. Time flied so we must have had at least a little fun. I had to call Patty on the way home & tell her I was running late & to hold off coming over for dinner for about an hour.
You know, I am going to have to cut, run & dash here.
With the ‘holiday’ Monday, carrying on with Martha yesterday, I am running slightly behind schedule. I have to find an image for previous account, then post both, so oh bouy.
I really really really want & need to get after some projects.
When you are a one-person-shop, delegating work is really really pointless.
All for now.
