Back in the saddle or sitting in the sunshine. Toss a coin for the engaging title this day the first entry for the new year !! I have the Main BR, aka the Captain’s Quarters, configed for the utmost possible comfort and I am reveling in it this morning.

I recall a visit to Monticello some years ago now how Thomas Jefferson had his place laid out & I use that model whenever possible decorating here at the cloud.

Here now, 21st century, I am sitting in the Winter sun, partially blinded, but the warm rays feel wonderful as they strike my face.

The lounge chair I literally picked up from a curb sale & had Steven reupholster it with fine fabrics. Steven is similar to me in that he attacks his craft with passion and as an artist. The chair is nearly luxurious AND comfy and looks truly expensive. Patty took one look at it & axed if I was gay. Then I punched her in the neck.

Received just now communique from Down Unda. Emma received Christmas package with card & Cross by Bill sent snail mail well before Christmas. I am very glad it got there & provided some good vibes at that end. She reports the bush fires have moved away from settled (inhabitated) areas inland but will continue to smolder unless & until significant rain arrives.

So you see peeps, nowhere on this planet is it truly & entirely safe, ideal or immune ALL the time to weather extremes or disaster(s). Pray it doesn’t happen in your ‘hood’. I know I do.

The Holidays are now officially over Thanking God and we can get back to work each in our own way.

This weekend is second Saturday art sale at Tupps. This will be a trial run once again. I need to customize & tailor the product offering for expected clientele. That said, fewer crosses, more signs, decoys, carvings & I am thinking the duck head coat racks of 1,2 or 3 heads MAY move.

I have four (4) heads done and I was further thinking just this morning I can mix & match them onto different panels should someone show $incere & genuine intere$t.

Santa dropped off a new toy like I requested. Recall the chinese belt sander fiasco with home depot some months ago ? Sure you do. MOST of you anyway. But for those just now tuning in & not wishing to flip back laboriously … follows a recapitulation ...

I bought this chinnsey belt sander that crapped out which I took in for repair. It was outside of warranty (surprise x5) & it cost more to repair than I paid for it. Ringing any bells yet ? So I paid one (1) time strictly on principle.

FF (fast forward): Well I got it to work for a while & it died again. Paying again sends up the Stupid flag. I think it is the Jolly Roger pirate flag flying up-side-down.

Long story abbreviated, I axed for a new sander for Chirstmas & Santa DELIVERED. So there IS a Santa Claus.

I really need such a tool now more than ever for heavy duty & fast sanding of sign panels. The weathered fence pickets finish up nicely if I sand off only a little or I take off a lot with such a power tool.

I guess that’s about it for now from here. I see I have reached the 500 word limit. Need to refill the coffee cup, do the gerry-at-trick workout, some laundry and breathe fine sawdust for the rest of the morning. See what happens & unfolds. Forget about all the ‘proactive’ garbage.

I got things to do & I am going to do them.

I didn’t even go off on the numerical significance of the day. So BRIEFLY, 4 squared is 16. With the New Year (2016), the square root of 16 is 4 so every month on the fourth (4th) day will become significant.

At Mass this weekend, there was a reading from the 'book of Numbers'. This gets my mind wondering & wandering. They had mafia back then? Who wrote this book ?? There was a person named Numbers ???

Must investigate. The estate sale late last summer yielded a few Bible study books which settled in the ‘reference’ section of the bibliotheque. What is this Book of Numbers all about anyway ?

Just what I need right now. Chasing a tangenital down a rabbit hole. Whoa is me !!
