Eleven March 2016
Double ones (11) this day & birthday wishes go out to Emma from Oz. Actually, I was successful hitting the ‘window’ of opportunity sending the command to have a smashing day early because on that side of the planet tomorrow arrives early.
I received a reply mit gracias from DU (NOT Ducks Unlimited but Down Unda… NOT even Down UNDER. Down Unda.)
Aussie-speak slightly different. Think Foxworthy’s redneck vocabulary but different. Down Unda the fish, aka Great White Shock is pronounced & not ‘shark’. It's a shock.
Lesson closed for today. So moving along.
Raining once again today & you & I are at Procrastination Station. I have made the rounds, touched all the bases and am now in for the duration. As Doris Day once sang, let it rain, let it rain, let is rain.
There are apparently warnings or worse, actual river FLOODINGS in the region but high & dry here on the cloud & the Hill. A few of the garden containers have not drained and have filled but those are being noted & will be drained with the drainage issue rectified when the rain stops.
Yesterday there was a wonderful harvest of spring lettuce greens. Probably 7-8 different varieties of different lettuce. And more to come.
Shopping is done. Nice groceries, vegetables for the week. Patty is headed over for supper & bringing the fish. We can wing the sides shortly after she arrives & selects items from the menu.
Biggest news, another project finished. OK. NEARLY finished. I picked up the mirrored frame from Leon’s & he hit it out of the park. The frame looks super and the mirror dropped right in as a perfect fit. He agreed to offer support if the prototype digital frame generated orders so that is good news as well. A photo of the frame is a day or two away so stay tuned.
Also most anxiously anticipated perhaps today the peppermint angelfish pattern from Anthony Hillman himself. Very, VERY cool.
Also expected delivery today, The Iguana Project book by my bud Dale Smith from the previous entry. I have about 20-30 pages on previous read to complete which is turning into an excellent book. The book is Biblical historical fiction. Three Days by Chris Stepien and from Dynamic Catholic is a very plausible account of the days & time when Jesus as a youth was ‘lost’ on Jerusalem during a pilgrimage.
They book was given away after Mass at St Gabriel’s on week & it is a perfect read. Fast & enlightening.
Recommended for youth and/or adults. Life during that time was naturally markedly different & the author does a fantastic job with researching details of life of that time.
OK. That’s enough for today. I really want to finish the book, work on carvings & paintings and get on & along with the weekend.
S/b fun. Have a terrif w/e.
Again, Happy Birthday Emma !!
