May Eighteen, 2016

Mittwoch again and a FULL day off. After closing the past two nights and having the morning or productive hours of these days free & available, I have accomplished much so you really need to be brought up to speed or perhaps up to date.

To set the stage a bit, tea this morning is DOUBLE estate mint just because there is so much & it is growing wildly. A combination of some dried leaf and two (2) large, fresh sprigs. The stevia squeezed out heavy and some fresh squeezed lime juice scalding hot is a simply magnificent change of pace from the house coffee.

The morning air is much cooler. It can't be 16. It rained early this morning and at 6:41 I awoke to close the windows. No trouble getting back to sleep.

Manuel was here on Monday and tidied up the grounds in a huge way.

Today's images, that’s right, plural, are the before & after of the immediate areas around the cement pond (before) and the lagoon (after).

The only casualty was his helper weed whacked a tomato plant maybe beyond self-repair.

He opened up the area behind the far-curved part of the lagoon where last season I placed some interesting recycled fabric circular ‘beds’ as part of the on-going science experiment in self-sustainment. Now with much more light & less shade, these two nano-jardins should be able to produce considerably more herbs or/and vegetables.

Lars & I connected on some wood that I got from Manuel’s basura trailer. Some ash & maple and he said he would drop off pecan & other logs when he gets them. This is Manuel. We shall see.

Lars & I talked about getting another caper going making sausage. As another Renaissance man, Lars is as multi-talented as myself. He has made sausage before which compliments my keen interest in learning that skill.

Well, I know where to GET the raw material. So I made a phone call & we made tentative plans for pulling it off as early as THIS weekend. I called Hog Wild game processing up in Fannin country and things are moving forward. We should have a much better feel for a plan on Thursday as we have Friday AM planned as opened for the pickup of goods.

Leon has come thru again. I stopped up yesterday & we discussed the next framing project. Taking regenerating neuron to the next level. Should be stunning.

I stopped at the car wash & they had another empty detergent barrel that I was able to get. That now makes two (2/dos) for the rain collection project. I rang up Walt & he is good for Saturday design, layout and requirements planning of the system. We may need to shuffle or shuttle two projects here if everything OR all align.

On the job hunt, full frontal assault, this update. A foray at Temps of McKinney was a complete & total bust-o-rama. No problem on my part after being there. I was over-powered by some strange odor I found most annoying & unpleasant. THEIR loss.

Very well then.

That’s about all there is for now.

Enjoy your day.

I don't know. The jury is still out.

I am thinking the over-grown jungle look is more appealing however like right after a haircut, it is the shock factor more than anything.

It seems like there is a LOT more room from the photo.

The containers need to be better organized & set about for sure.

If only it were a bit warmer & nicer outside. It gives me the excuse to work on the arty projects inside this day.
