June – The Intro
June is here. My favorite month for many reasons. Up early VOLUNTARILY with stories galore and spin, spin, spin, a few words of wisdom and a developing revelation. Perhaps.
Look for reduced entries in June but of higher quality.
HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE ?
Good question but read on & don't get ahead of me.
Up early with the first awakening. On my own, no work just wanting to get after the little things that have been building up, lingering & were there another partner in this escapade, nagging.
First the developing revelation.
I was laying there, contemplating the ceiling fan turning slowly in the dark, when I decided to say some prayers when suddenly, at the SAME INSTANT, three (3) fast, quick flashes of lightning. So fast at to appear as one. No thunder or no rain still. YET.
I am thinking, waiting & pondering if this is a message of some sort from God that I must sort out.
The quick, three silent flashes, very (TOTALLY) silent almost perceptible as one burst.
I played golf last night in the ‘TI/Raytheon ‘Wildcat’ league’. I wish now I hadn’t. It was painful and so NOT FUN. My partner was Clint who I had never met before. He was a pal of the other two team members. Nice guy, average to slightly above player but made up for it in character & knowledge of the game.
Our opponents were two very low lifes and made me recall vividly why I am not so sad at not having to work with this (or that ?) type of people any longer.
The first player, Bart, was a terrible player. His masquerade costume was a yellow Colonial ball cap, a pale green shirt with a Masters logo, loose, baggy denim shorts hanging below his knees revealing pale, white toneless stick legs and long, stringy, thinning gray hair. Think aging rock star with the vocabulary and self-centeredness of Bart Simpson.
Unshaved, poor dental hygiene and as obnoxious & abrasive as one could imagine.
The clincher was on the eighth tee box, the sun rapidly setting and quoting here ‘I don’t know about the poor bastards behind us but I know we are going to finish (in daylight).’
His playing partner & my opponent was cut from the same character cloth but just of better appearance. Think a different package. They were playing side bets amongst themselves and THAT was irritating & held things up more than once.
We should have beaten them like red-headed step children but got drubbed.
Always painful to get beat by lesser players.
AS ever, not sure exactly what this day holds. I thought some early morning planning might help.
The tenants at the rental are acting up and becoming a continuing PIA. Instead of listening to their nagging the property manager is constantly ‘keeping me in the loop.’ I am paying them to run the interference on the whining tenants.
I may be taking some more time off between entries. Leaving for Mexico here shortly and can’t advertise that fact. While we have done considerable planning already, it is time for the short strokes and finals for the loose ends. A session tonight with my tc.
Morning beverage is coffee first and a bit later estate mint with sumac, hot & sweetened. I know rare to have both in one day but coffee is being reduced and the tea I learned OFFICIALLY is very good for the brain.
WE THOUGHT YOU KNEW THAT ? WHAT HAPPENED ?
Over in FW last week, one morning when I was up early to catch the weather before tournament play, Kelly Ripa sans Mike, had a nutritionist for a guest and she made a pomegranate mock mojito & used sumac (!). I couldn't believe it. All good for the brain especially the mint. So it is OFFICIAL. Watch for sumac berries to become scarce, commercially available either produced or harvested, then the price to sky-rocket as it starts ‘trending’ to the likes of social media divas & dudes.
I got to go.
I am nearly done stretching the black canvas on the last frame from Leon for the next gen of regenerating neuron. Coming along slowly but it does have some momentum.
I took photos yesterday for the stages and progressive sequence of the peppermint angelfish from a plain block of wood to finished project. Placed in front of a piece of white coral I found at Goodwill for $3.00 it is today's stunning first image.
And speaking of fish, last night I received an email message back from Anthony Hillman.
I expect Tony is going to do another pattern this time for a rare damselfish Dascyllus aruanus. Going to forego any of the common names but it is banded black & white. About 10 cm in length so slightly larger than the peppermint angelfish. Stay tuned as you will want to see this project unfold to completion.
Stanley Cup finals are underway but little enthusiasm here for either team. Pittsburgh won last night I see to take 2-0 series lead to the left coast. Shark Logan C (#39) accused Sid Crosby of cheating on face-offs. And of course he (Crosby) gets away with it. Much like Tom Brady under-inflating his balls.
This is a series where one (THIS one, your writer) would like to see both teams lose. Just saying my opinion.
Also from the hockey world, we mourn the passing of Tom Lysiak.
First round draft pick of the Atlanta Flames in '73-'74. Young phenom was a three-time all star at about the time I was finishing my undergrad work.
The Flaming A’s quickly left Atlanta for Calgary, Lysiak obviously moved on as well at least to Chicago. His daughter is smokin' hot & apparently a tv celebrity of some note on the food channel.
Imagine picking HER up for a 'first date' as a rookie. No thanks. Talk about Sweatsville.
Of leukemia. He was 63. Sad news.
So, to wrap up, look for a bigger gap between entries. Higher quality reports if that is even possible and a travel/trip report coming from Mexican adventure.
Oh, nearly forgot. Wicked Strong racing is IN for the 35th annual running of the 2016 HH100.
Same crew as last year but looks like Mikey is out BUT still considering if things change later. Also pending, Ronzoni and unnamed girlfriend of S1. He reported later last night she is ‘still on the fence.’
Time to start training in earnest. It looks like I will even miss tomorrows entry, June second is after all a numerically significant day.
WHAT ? WHY ??
This (you) sounds like a therapist avoiding falling asleep from boredom checking in.
There was a short cartoon series on telly, years ago, that took detective Dick Tracy from the comic strip to the ‘small screen.’
It was very cool at the time. The animation was poor by today's standards as the figures & characters really only had voices to the comic strip images.
Anyway, Tracy used to close off communications on this two-way wrist radio, the wildest of science fiction at the time but a harbinger of technology & things to come, by saying ‘six-two & even, OUT.’
Kind of like 10-4 but before the CB radio craze.
Well, tomorrow is 6-2 and 2016 is EVEN.
This is Bill. Six one & out.
