It’s another beautiful, melodious day numerically speaking and it has me wondering if the entire month may be that-a-way. Thinking out loud,or how about ‘brainstorming' with self ?
Today’s image may not be what it first appears and no Virginia I am NOT pulling a Brett Farr.
That gash is on my right thumb and only looks larger because it was most difficult to hold & position the odd-shaped phone-cam with one’s left hand (mine) AND pull the trigger to actually snap the image.
SO HOW DID THAT HAPPEN ? SUCH AN UGLY WOUND. WAS ALCOHOL INVOLVED ?
A little. I was working in studio G and had just put the final touches on the two (2) species of Dascyllus I have been doing which BTW will be Today’s Image for the next report.
I looked at the row of duck heads lined up for coat racks & took up the 3-way utility knife & was removing quickly some lines previously marked and was moving along well making great progress.
I had set up the phone to play amazon playlists via bluetooth thru the sony red pillow and was having simply a marvy time when I noticed suddenly blood appearing on the one head.
I uttered an expletive thinking maybe, just maybe it would go away. Recall I did answer in the affirmative when axed if alcohol was involved.
SEE !!
Mom, now you listen. It was hot, I was home, not going anywhere and just relaxing.
THAT’S WHAT HAPPENS.
O eye no.
Moving along, things got very bloody before I decided to administer some sort of first aid viewing the wound for an assessment.
Were I not so well-schooled by my Mom, or God forbid located & activated that Panic Button, lesser people might make a hasty trip to the ER. My assessment was perhaps 1 or 2 stitches possibly if the er doc was not busy or bored.
END OF STORY: Field dressed wound cleaning thoroughly. Applied H2O2, anti-b ointment, sterile band-aid and topped with a wrap or two of thick, nearly grungy old adhesive tape only for the overnight. Looks good this morning but still awkward due to location on the thumb. Will air it out & redress for work later today. Protective measure as work is dirty on the hands, the area is sensitive and I don’t want the thing popping open during work.
I am actually as we read & write here now painting the two Dascyllus. These are very simple color schemes which is exactly why I chose them. It was a long & arduous search but finally completed successfully.
OK. Time to paint some tails.
Work later this morning and a FULL eight (8) hours today. Gruelling.
Emma checked in. Her hooves feel wonderful, she is up & about doing some travelling Down Unda. She says Thanks for the prayers. She & Sir Ron are headed towards the equator as winter is ringing in near Johanna at around 5 C.
That sounds real good right here right now.
If you were me, staying cool would seldom be a problem.
That’s a joke …
