Another day of very strong numbers and I have found some time. Not truly ‘free’, I believe the term is re-allocated. Before the lines explode, I WILL EXPLAIN …
I worked this morning, a six (6) hour ordeal, details mercifully spared. And out & home now. The plan at the morning briefing was to repair some sprinkler heads (2) & outdoor work and a stretched out, extended bike ride, then carve or more accurately finish painting two major projects for the Cabela’s Outdoor event rapidly approaching.
But a tremendous thunder storm rolled in and what looks like a long soaking rain. This is GREAT news as it lowers the priority of the sprinkler caper. With rain is lower temperatures which is also grand.
Speaking of seasonal temperature changes and related matters, received a long report from Down Unda. Emma informs readership here that Spring is in the air THERE with an unseasonably sunny & mild 24 C prompting the budding & blooming of apple trees, almond trees & the lemon tree which is always bearing. It seems she has Sir Ron tasking to prune said trees and make ready for the new season just the opposite of ours here.
Truth be told, and I hate to say it, I have noticed the daylight starting to dwindle, the suns shadows are not allowing the water in the cement pond to get as warm as the Caribbean OR the Mediterranean. So last night I got in the spa for a session.
S1 was supposed to come up but he apparently got a better offer that sitting with Dad watching telly. Instead of watching Red Sox v O’s he went to see Rangers v A’s locally. We are way too far apart sometimes in watching live & on tv. I turned on telly & watched just the same with one eye (the good one) while working until rain stopped the Red Sox route in the 7th inning.
I am off the next two (2) FULL days. I do not have to report until Sunday at 11:00 am. Nice.
Maybe I can get some REAL WORK done.
OK. Enough.
