I am thinking now every even numbered day in Augusto is going to have significance if for nothing else being melodious. Today, each number in the date is divisible by four (4), for, or fore.

Big news this day starts with an obituary. After 3.9 years, my smartphone, aka dumb-phone, can now be referred to as ‘late’. It passed away Thursday evening rather sometime early Friday morning after a lengthy illness. This ‘age’ to put it into a spinning perspective as only I can is thus. The 3.9 phone (or technology) years Is 16 dog years, 74 man-years, 79 female years and 49 trannie years.

It’s soul is now in a better place and not suffering. The new replacement is functioning, charging, on station & on point. It is a great time to be me once again Phans. A new toy, plenty to learn with the rapid new technology, things popping, the HH100 ride NEXT WEEKEND and the MAST preps & art business taking off.

So on awakening Friday morning, my FIRST concern was my phone & sure enough it was gone.

All feeble attempts at revival failed so it was time.

Fortunately, I hatched at scheme to pay for the new phone that I must admit turns out to be absolutely brilliant. A stroke of brilliance.

Remember now it is Friday morning with a dead phone, I cannot make ANY phone calls.

DUH !!

You say ‘DUH.’ But it jumps up & bites you.

I log onto THIS machine and start a chat with American Express agent on call in New Delhi, as in India. Her screen name is ‘Mellisa’ which I doubt. Seriously.

I want my screen name to be Raj.

Anyway, While chatting and early on, it dawns on me. AmEx points. Buy the phone with Rewards points. Melissa says I can do that.

But me thinks out loud or to self, not sure which, that is going to take too long and without question some sort of forms to fill out or ‘process or procedure’ for doing that so ….

I PURCHASE the phone with the card THEN pay with points. I get more points that way and later I find out I CAN pay off the phone 'installments' early with ATT. But I am getting ahead of myself slightly.

Don’t stop here because it gets better.

I look up what time this new ATT store opens on El Dorado. OK, 9:00 am. At 8:55, I am there and met Joe. I brief him of the Objectives and we go.

Shortly after 11:00, I leave with a new phone, Direct tv and a lower cable, internet and phone plan each month. Hook up day is Tuesday, 23 12-4 window.

Direct tv has high def ‘standard’, more channels, a $200 visa card for joining AND, get this, the new phone has the capability of being the remote for the telly !!

Hijo di puta what will they think of NEXT ? The PHONE is the REMOTE !! I can't get over it. I can;t even tell my Mom.

It rained off & on Frday so Project Sprinkler heads priority dropped and with continuing rain bike training is, well, let’s just say impractical.

I ran my butt off the rest of the day, two stops at Donnie’s shop woodworking, a trip to Cal’s in between to borrow some reference books for painting ducks and when I got home for supper, greatly please with self, the days accomplsihments AND off ALL DAY today with no where to go, no one to put up with or deal with and paint, carve and work here to my hearts content.

Son One (S1) is going to try again tonight to come around & watch Sox v Tigers. We have the BBQ menu from Thursday still in the icebox. Hopefully the rain will let up enough to build a small charcoal fire in the hibatchi.

Other than that, today's image is of the new arrival, family member or appendage, not sure which but I am glad it is here and welcome to the hood, or even the team, Galaxy S7.

For the time being anyway we will fondly abbreviate GS7.
