FIRST for September 2016

WOW ! The FIRST entry for the new month and already six (6) days into it ! Yes, I HAVE been busy.

The Cabela’s event, sale or show is this weekend so I am feverishly AND frantically (nearly) getting things together around my other schedule at THD. Kind of a PIA but we all live with such things.

Today I am supposed to meet with a rep about setting up my phone to swipe credit card transactions (trannies). This was scheduled via for last Friday but they postponed until Tuesday which was OK as I was working then as well HOWEVER I have no confirmation NOR a time & place.

MAKES THINGS KIND OF DIFFICULT ...

Welcome to MY WORLD job hopper.

So today's image is the finished Northern pintail completed just yesterday. There is a beautiful Carolina wood duck following close behind for completion perhaps today. Then a bwt and a canvasback, both repeats and fast to carve & paint.

I am going to start the event with $600 a pop and work down if necessary. Price points are extremely tricky in this case. If they are too low, there will be nothing on the table to show. It is even difficult to take orders when clients cannot see any work.

While this is going on, I am planning & assembling marketing & branding material for this weekend AND the bigger MAST show in November.

I have to make a batch of mustard. I am out of mustard.
