All Saints day

I am taking this opportunity with bittersweet, ying-v-yang, IOW ‘mixed emotions.’ I have let slip at least two (2) good ops for entry titles. Penultimate Roctober and Spooktober Finale. So, where does that leave us and most important … why ?

First, send $$ and I can spin something up as the I 'will work for $$$ rule' still applies.

One alibi for the MIAs were minor skirmishes with chronic melancholia, time crunches & the evil & wicked work schedule. The depression was nano but ANY therapist would whip out a pad & write a prescription and it passed this morning when I went to Mass.

I had a very bad dream last night and awoke both puzzled & troubled. Father Dominic’s Homily was spot on and shook off the blow to my psyche. Once again I am thankful for Faith and truly amazed at people that overlook such a magnanimous resource. Again, their loss.

Moving along tho, missing Halloween was no great loss. There was no light last night to discourage such activity but there was one (1) doorbell ring anyway. Well twice. Same ringer.

As I went to the door, I heard giggling & at least three (3) little or young girls ran away before I could open the door so neither harm nor foul. OK, a 'trick' instead of a treat.

Now for the biggie.

On the calendar according to Bill, we will observe a Holiday but alter it slightly because I can.

Current state ‘All Hallows Eve’ will be greatly down-played but more importantly SHIFTED to the right.

One or November first will be All Saints Day and the second will be All SOULS day copying or mimicking the Day of the Dead (Dia de Muertos). Look at it as a ‘weekend’ or two day celebration of things Christian. I mean the Jews have multi-day holidays & Muslims take a MONTH more or less with ramadan. So why not ?

The 'trick or treating' will be during daylight hours, before dusk, the second after celebrating those or them that have passed.

I could go on about the politics but once again WHY ?

Aren't there enough imposters, pundits and 'experts' doing this already ?

To do list this day also includes job hunt, hit some range balls, bike ride, carve & paint for St Gabriel’s show this Saturday & MAST NEXT WEEKEND.
