Ides of November 2016
Bill here in a rare evening report. Why you ax ? Well, I have been working early opening and finally getting used to the time change. Up early isn’t bad but the early dark, evening meal and long evenings of poor tv COULD call in depression to lesser people but not here.
Today's first of two image and both are from the THD today.
I first read it & was mildly amused and after the gentleman passed I ran him down asking to take a picture of his tee shirt.
He was a good sport & didn’t act like I was crazy because I simply am not. We chatted for a minute about the election & the country.
I’ll get to the other story nearer the end if I don’t run out of fuel & fall asleep.
So something new tonight since it has been nearly one (1) week since I took to the keyboard & information superhighway for an entry. Tonight I’ll just address questions from the email bag before the closing image & story.
So ready … ?
How was MAST ?
(Sandy from Daytona, FL)
A: The show & weekend went well. While it could be an entire report, the visitors were very well behaved, sales were good, the auction items donated both sold and I will have my first student enrolled in lessons & a class.
WOW !!
Exactly.
Nothing else ? That’s it ?
A: Saturday there were gaps between visitors but I just worked on one of the multitude of projects no problem.
Sunday there was a steady stream, almost no interruptions & a couple of times they were doubled up. It was good.
So did the sudden withdrawal of the docent cause or create any issues ?
(Misty from Walla Walla, WA)
A: Not at all. I adjusted and simply went forward. I have learned that you really can’t count on anyone in life. Family is the most reliable but I have gotten so used to going solo & doing everything myself, it is just the norm at this stage.
Listening to the Stars game on radio this night. Much, much better. Telly is nice but it seems commercials are shorter, not as many & the game goes faster. The new directtv package does not include the Fox Sports SW which I am learning to live with the suckness.
OK. That’s it. Out of fuel for tonight. Need to get up early again tomorrow. Then off for three (3) days & visitors arrive from back East for the weekend Friday. That should be fun.
Son 1 & are are going to put on pads, lace skates for a session Friday at lunch hour until the ambulance arrives. It was what he wanted for his birthday one skate with Dad.
Ok.
The final image is from the HD today. This customer was browsing the ceiling fans and I approached to engage which is MY JOB. She turned & she was simply stunning. I did my job, engaging lightly with lchaming banter and I asked for her autograph and she obliged. What a huge THRILL.
Who was it ?
Are you kidding ?
Clue for the clueless. Miss Congeniality ? HELLO ?!
And I was just doing my job. I promised to keep it hush-hush until she left the building so a crowd wouldn't form so I kept it quiet.
NO !
Yes.
Bye.
