20 November 16

Winter officially arrived last night or this morning at 6:23 am as I was forced to pull the Siberian comforter out of its summer residence or storage space and position a part of it at least over the bottom half of the bed.

You heard correctly and the implication is my feet WERE … chilled. Upon full awakening, I had 13 at the bedside, 16 on the quarters thermal meter and you know what? It was ALL GOOD as no one was complaining. I told myself I was camping out & it was wonderful.

The sun came up as expected and the day began to warm. At this moment, I have 10 outdoors, 17 on the downstairs thermal device and quite pleasant with long sleeves. And the passive solar is working & functioning properly so fire wood & fireplace remain on standby.

I took a winter luxury here, a hot bath & watched a great episode of The Prisoner. Schizoid Man is a real mind bender and classic from that series.

Today the duty calls and I will be working the aisles missing football. Oh darn my socks.

Moving on …

Royalty left early Saturday morning after a very nice visit.

My Mom called in good spirits and I drifted between projects as a happy, VERY Happy Camper for the remainder of the day before Mass @ 5.

Emma checked in to wish Happy Thanksgiving. She reports as an expat that things are quite different around the Holidays Down Unda. Turkeys, like pumpkins, are wicked expensive and although she didn’t say it, might be cost prohibitive. If I were in THAT POSITION, I would investigate poaching another indigenous species such as those nasty koalas to possibly substitute for the Grande bird. There has to be enough of them to harvest and thin the herd some. My first for preparation is marinate out all the hormonal residue out and bbq slowly with a fine honey-lime-vinegar marinade for about a week prior.

OK. That’s enough. Must make breakfast and get ready for a HUGE week. I’ll be getting close to 40 hours, that’s NEARLY ‘Full Time’ which would be great but the RATE per hour is & continues to be GD near insulting when I think of it.

So I DON’T think.

Must make ciao.

Sorry, chow this time … really ... breakfast.
