The lingering winter returns. Sleeping with the window fully open upstairs, I awoke to 15/18 and 17 downstairs on the main deck. Being acclimated has its advantages. Why I didn’t even pull up the Siberian comforter. Just like camping out.

I am on a very brief Sunday morning coffee break.

I have multiple tasking well underway and a waiting list. Like watering the plants.

On the way home from Mass, I stopped & got 453 g of bacon. That is rendered down & cooling separating bacon bits from the fat. Both saved for future use.

Chopped and got going some vegetables to roast.

Friday little eggplants, slightly smaller than a baseball, were 5/$1. I cut 3 of those in half.

Cabbage was 3lb/$1. One full head to shred for sauerkraut this summer. Will TRY to get to that here next or better & more likely SHORTLY.

Celery was $.88/stalk. Chopped a few of those for roasting. Also from the large healthy bunch Thai celery-peanut salad. Killer. A larger salad to take for work this week for some variety.

Going to use some the the fresh bacon renderings to prepare some brussel sprouts I FOUND in the back of the refridge. Ouch. Good thing those Texas cabbages are robust & rugged. I am thinking if they were GMO-ed with onions they would be stinking to high Heaven.

Had a fairly good show at Tupps yesterday. Small sales ARE sales & much better than nada. I really needed the cash infusion.

That’s it.

Gots to go. I have six (6) hours ‘free time’ today until reporting later this afternoon.

I really feel like getting dirty. So to the garage/studio for some power carving. I need to find some no-use wood for burning. I made a small fire last night & again this morning more for psychological warm than getting warm or heating the house. But the burnable wood is nearly exhausted. This lingering Winter can not last much longer and I simply refuse to burn ANY of the furniture.

I also MUST layout the booth for AiB in the garage. I have to have a couple of ‘floor plans’ to select from.

Recall I mentioned taping off the 10 foot square artists get for this show. I have two tables, a couple of stools that I can double into tables and two (2) smaller collapseable chairs for guests.
