Green 18, green 18, hut … hut hut
Sorry for missing Saint Patrick’s day this year but I was busy yet again. Playing ketchup on a short Saturday morning and taking the briefest time-out for … Ann Update.
CARE TO EXPLAIN ?
I always do & isn’t that one off the bullets in the Mission Statement? OK, how about the Charter ?? Perhaps its the ‘Vision’ statement or as a decreped therapist once called it the ‘hallucination’ statement. What do they know anyway ?
EVERYTHING !!
Ha ! YOU, my Dear, are apparently under one of THEIR SPELLS.
Leave them at once, do some reading, independent study and YOU CAN sort it out. Go to Church.
Talk about digressing. What some people won’t do for cheap or free advice.
Early Saturday morning and what a week huh ?
I mean how many peeps do you know that can actually survive a new grandchild, colonoscopy, dentist visit, haircut, squeeze in 25 hours of part time work and live to laugh & tell about it ? I ax you.
Last night I accepted an invitation to a reception at The Cove for a ceramic & pottery show. Very cool on all fronts. In retrospect I stuck my toe(s) into that pool of the art local world known as socialization and the cocktail party scene and got a small taste & survived. I shall ride again, do ti again AND be better both at it AND for it.
The Cove is a new, hip and trendy place on the local McK art scene. Naturally I was casing it for a future venture/venue for a personal show, reception, party or event.
The brainchild of local art mavin Anne Royer, locals set up & exhibit their goods, chat it up with, explain their various pieces to visitors, guests, patrons or in the most ideal situation ‘customers’. So yes, count me in. As in ALL IN.
Naturally quite anxious and near-panic mode at first. However I did settle, right the ship and carried on well. No booze (alcohol) for moi but there was some available I just naturally relaxed.
Part of the problem was arriving too early and those very awkward first moments initially hooking up in a conversation and then something I haven’t quite mastered yet, ‘mingling’ and moving about.
I left probably earlier & sooner than I should have but met a nice couple. She was the artist/potter and he was the ‘trailer’. He & I chatted it up on a wide variety of topics for most of the time until my phone went off. It was FB & I tried to ignore/silence but it picked up.
Another ‘event’ of the week/day was changing service carriers or providers. Said goodbye to att & hello T-mobile. Very impressed thus far but the learning curve is on-going for a time but MUCH less cost & hassles PLUS for every new customer referral, you (I) get $50 up to $5K/YEAR. Fans, I could have hit on a solution … !!! Ka-CHING !
This is going to be EASY. They said they get a LOT of people coming over from att.
Well Farook, you’re about to get A LOT more thanks to Bill.
‘Hi, I’m Bill. Tired of being gouged by ever-increasing service rates, shaky internet reliability and a tortuous cable tv experience? I know I was. Until I switched to T-mobile. They made it easy to void the contract and they got me all set up in no time. And my Family noticed immediately the quality of my calls was higher, better & more clear. And my data is now UNLIMITED. No more obnoxious & annoyiny 'free text messages' saying ‘exceeding the plan limit and adding ANOTHER $15 for an extra Gig for the month BEFORE the month is HALF over. Well att, GIG THIS !! ’
I got to go.
More coffee, more laundry, a fast bike ride as we now have 19 degrees C here this morning.
Just thought you needed a pick-‘em-up this morning.
Oh, a new character or better said a new writer was recently hired and joined the staff here at the cloud.
Look for & expect an entry soon from Y.O. Ming.
