Twenty-too March, 2017
Another PERFECT morning shaping up Fans. Sunny, clear, cool & no wind. I should get the bike ride done & out of the way early on. But first, the Spin from the clouds & the Pecan Hillbilly por favor.
Last time recall I closed with the tease of a new character. Y.O. Ming has been on the mental drawing board shortly after I learn about the Letters from ... by Thomas Paine in the Paul Johnson book. Let me just say that it is under work and progressing rather slowly at the moment. You can’t even say ‘coming together’ anymore w/out getting some perv hard.
I do actually have to work today but report late afternoon. Unlike the last two (2) days off when I accomplished much as far as yard work and artsy-fartsy projects. So today time IS LIMITED and critical however that said OFF all day on Friday. So goodness returns.
I have been working small-ish projects under a broad heading with my new friend Gail. Gail is a local McK artist and we met at a MAST after-party meeting/function when we sat at the same table.
Gail mentioned you might recall that she has a hard time selling her work because she gets so attached to it. This resonated with your writer so that kept the conversation going forward.
Gail told me about making prints. Mats and backing are available on amazon and all one has to do is send file images to Walgreens & viola !! Done.
But first many to most if not ALL should be ‘cleaned up’ and Gail does this in photoshop. I sent Gail some images (files) and they have been processed, spiffed up and tomorrow morning we are going to huddle, down-select the best ones of each, determine sizes and send them to print at Walt Greens.
There is a big price break at 100 prints so I am thinking 10 files, 10 each and some different sizes and suddenly we have a superb ‘business plan’ and strategy for revenue flow at Arts in Bloom. Somewhere cash registers are KA-Chinging.
And that’s about it.
Also yesterday I mowed the lawn or more accurately mulched dead leaves & knocked back the weeds & earliest St Augustine shoots.
I also did something I told myself I wasn’t ever going to do again. I shot myself with the nail gun. Not as bad this time but none the less broke the skin in that padded part of my left thumb. Not infected but a painful numb. I KNOW something is there.
This little accident was late in the day, I admit to being a little tired and I really, REALLY wanted to finish the regenerating neuron.3. Dot4 is done already out of order but HEY, I am an ARTIST and I CAN DO IT that way if I want to.
Look for images of both/each next time.
And the FINAL thing … with Gail coming over tomorrow to start teaching me a free version of photoshop, I must, MUST, MUST clean up the casa a bit.
Does this sound like a full day to you ?
