Too-too April 20 - 17

‘Bible & Religion’ for $500 Alex. PING!. The answer is…’ How many Commandments are there? PING. PING:’10’, ‘No. Sorry Tamika. PING:’12’,’No. Sorry Chew. PING:’What is 18’. Correct Guillermo. BONG. That’s it. Time for Final Jeopardy. Guillermo, you're in the lead with $10.5 K, Xu & Tamika tied with $49.99.

So as you can tell the Biblical research project is NOT going well. The broken third tablet COULD have had as few as two, PERHAPS only one (1) extra up to a theoretical five like the first two that Moses could carry & didn’t drop up to eight (ocho). They COULD HAVE reduced the font size& tightened the margins to get more on the tablet because no way could they go to a fourth (4) tablet. The translation passages simply do not support that.

In the tinque tank brain storming sessions of one, the list is up to eight (8) and certainly a few are weak, perhaps some might even say lame. But NOT me. The committee OR a poll will down-select in time if time allows. Speaking of which, MMO. (must move on.)

Big to HuGE day yesterday. The hugeness prohibited dispatching entry last night while horrific storm went thru town lighting The Hill with long, thick flashing bolts, relentless cannon fire and pelting rain & even some hail. The wind would have shredded sails but all were trimmed & stowed.

How bad was it? The pot used to cook the supper soup was next to the recliner where I was working last night with the bay leaves still in the bottom.

At work, after punching the clock, I met Billy Bell. He had a contractors green/yellow vest with Innovative Concrete Solutions emblazoned on the back. I introduced myself and told him I was in the late planning process of making a mold to make my own concrete planters and we had a magnifique chat where my knowledge on concrete, its properties & behavior QUADRUPLED.

Fans, I cannot go into each & every ‘tip’ but suffice it to say that Billy provided ALL of the ‘missing links’ to begin the last phase of the project. Super keen & I am now officially pumped up about this project.

We even exchanged business cards for future reference so how cool is that?

Before leaving the store my work buddy Crazy Ivan the Loader cut a piece of marine plywood for the session with Nancy Rose on Tuesday and the ceramic/glass mixed media project.

I showed Ivan the card to PROVE I was an artist. Told him I expected to get between $5-800 for this piece already and they usually go UP. He looked at me like I was crazy. Oh well. This ‘look’ seems to be trending.

Went next down 75 to Richardson and got hairs cut. Got in & out faster that the last few times for which I offered thanks to God.

While in Richardson, I had stopped at the Fish Shack for lunch & talked signs with the owner Frank the Greek. He likes my signs, thinks they will fit in nicely with his décor, has spoken to his wife about it AND mentioned having such signs made for the restrooms. I now see four (4) MORE signs.

KA-Ching.

Next time I MUST take a fish carving or two to see if he wants to set them in his display case gift shoppe.

Back to McKinney after fighting horrid Friday rush hour traffic I made a quick stop at Ink & Toner to pick up a new printer. My Dad would have called it a ‘second-hand’ printer but today that translates into ‘used’.

Michael & I had been talking about it for a long time and I told him when my tax refund showed up I would pull the trigger on that. The electronic refund hit the direct deposit account in less that two (2) weeks !

So now I have to configure a new (to me) printer, scanner, copier AND fax (OMG) machine with WIRELESS capability. You heard me. Bill will SOON be able to print docs & files from his PHONE. SHIZZAM !! MORE MAGIC !!

Michael bought the machine, got a deal on it then right after found another with MORE features.

His gain turned out to then become MY GAIN. Just adding it to the list of things to do now or next.

When I got home now I am super bubbly and it doesn’t end. There is a package was on the front door stoop. My order from amazon had arrived. It was the book by my buddy Clay had written and I started reading it a few minutes later while I downloaded biological function 102.

I couldn’t get completely thru the Preface because the ice cream was melting so I finished the Preface & the first chapter when I awoke at 2:24 am.

Clay IS a writer. Vox populi is going to be a very entertaining read and of just the type I needed at this time. The numbness of the 1000-page history book is still fresh in my memory and with more historical research & reading awaiting when I commence the amazon studio project, I need a light read. Speaking of which …

Martha W replied to my first email so we are electronically tethered in communication. I can tell she is excited and anxious to work with me on this project. Her closing parting words of encouragement took my confidence spirit off the chart. She told me she was searching her late husbands library for material of interest I could use (!!). I mean how cool is that ?

Next I played Guillermo the gardenier running around chasing the mower without even changing hairy clothes as they were all dirty anyway and the threat of bad weather was rising quickly so completing that tasking was a high priority turning into a major victory.

About the only thing NOT accomplished from the original THIS DAY morning list was the bike ride.

I’ll do two (2) tomorrow.

AND FINALLY …

ABOUT TIME ALREADY…

Today's image is Irv. While I was playing Guillermo the yard consultant doing the back deck walkabout, I spotted ripples in the cement pond. Well, it was Irv. He was taking a little swim or more likely fell in while thinking he could drink the entire pool. I knew he would drown at the rate he was going swimming & searching for the ladder to get out. Little did he know I had not put out the little lizard ladder yet so he would have exhausted himself looking before expiring.

I got the long-handled net and rescued Irv for the second such animal rescue by Bill here at the cloud this year.

In the ER, between panting, Irv told me he was jewish. I believed him for lizards have no reason to lie about such things. When his vitals all stabilized, I walked away and let him continue his recovery & rehab with a modicum of privacy out of respect. I mean he had that look in his one good rotating eye & I could tell he was on the mend & going to be OK.

When I checked back, Irv was gone. I am thinking he is once again eating insects keeping 4901 free of such beasties or perhaps he himself became a meal. I prefer to think the former was the case but in such circumstances, one MUST consider every eventuality AND be realistic.

Come to think of it, 'Thou shalt consider all outcomes & eventualities and be realistic at all times' COULD BE the 19th commandment.

Just saying … there are NO lines to color outside of, no box to even THINK outside of ...
