Dean & DeLuca Invitational 5.27.17

Saturday, Day III and historically the annual day off. Boss let Sanchez fill in coverage to ketchup and recapitulate the race thus far up to this point with him on take and spin on things.

Saturday and the Boss is doing laundry, scouring local paper, recovering from previous days grueling pace & brutal conditions and him say ‘prepping for Sunday’, the final day, payday and crowning the Winner.

Sanchez berry greatful for another opportunity to cover & report live major US sport event even those its only golf. Golf berry, BERRY complicated for Sanchez to understand but I need work. Mouths to feed back home.

So, another thrilling day at CCC. Movement like bowels, slow & sometimes painful.

Here is what Sanchez sees and enough to report. Hotel room wicked cold. AC cranked way, WAY too high or too low. Depends on how you think hot v cold and what used to. Never this high at home. Not seem to be resettable in room so using extra blanket.

Saturday the crowd gets bigger, girls hotter, cuter and wearing less clothing. Too bad Sanchez not undercover clothing cop working security. Could have written numerous citations & tickets for undecent exposures.

BACK TO GOLF

After round 3, Paul Casey & Danny Lee tied for second place only two (2) shots back at 203 (-7) trailing WS Webb Simpson. Who in USA name child ‘Webb’ Sanchez wonder more than once. Was it most popular one year or what ? Maybe parent hippies or internet geeks.

A bunch of past-players bunched up close to top including E. Grillo, Bill Haas, everybody favorite Gordon Speith, Sergio Garcia & Scooter Piercy all at 206 (-4) and a group highlighted by Charlie Hoffmann at 207 and GMac is at 208 (-2).

That about it. Sanchez whipped as free beer taken tool. Glad to sleep in tomorrow and just watch em some golf. On tv. Someplace cool.

This Guillermo Sanchez reporting from the Dean-DeLuca Invitational at Colonial Country Club in Historic Fort Worth, Texas, USA this week.
