First entry 7-7 17

Things have sufficiently settled wrt the dates and the ‘new & improved’ proposed calendar so let us get back to carrying on shall we por favor ?

Today was another of those bittersweet deals that could have been so much better. On the way home from work, Silver coughed & sputtered. It sounded serious so we ended up at the vets and it IS serious. No driving or riding until Monday. Could be a trannie issue and the transmission ‘expert’ is out until Monday. We have an appointment for first thing so hold on to the purse strings.

Leaving this afternoon for FW to ride in the Peach pedal bike ralley this weekend with Walt & his twin brother Stewart. S/b interesting to say the least.

I took a two (2) hour training ride yesterday in the high heat of the day and feel good, resting today for the ride Saturday. Thirty miles (30) and I should be able to ride without stopping and MAYBE not even taking a drink. I have been acclimating my system for minimal water intake. I am comfortable with it and certainly know my limits.

That all said & done, on to tidying up a bit before packing & departing. Securing the fort aka casa.
