Yet another gloomy day here reminding one of summer vacations in NY. The air is dead-still at the moment and only slightly warmer outside than in. In a single word. 'clammy'.
Expecting a short entry as working today but a little later this morning. Otherwise, all well.
FB checked in with a flash and image from hospital in Houston. Reports ‘very busy’ but no details. A poor night for sleeping was about all the report contained but that’s OK.
Procrastination Station using this vehicle to warn up mentally for the day.
Developing news now on TWO (2 … dos) job fronts. One still ultra top secret and the second a shock yesterday at the orange box.
My boss or immediate supervisor resigned taking a job with another company. Good for him as he was talented and needed to move to make more money.
The department group is thin so someone already asked if I was interested and told me I would be a great DH. I said first Designated Hitter and no, Department Head. The one person ahead of me has the recurring heart condition & he probably wouldn’t be interested anyway.
The big drawback is 40 hours, a ‘regular shift’ but a larger direct deposit every two weeks. We shall see what happens today. I would need some control over hiring such as participating in the interview process and I don’t know how some of these sort of things would shake out or fly with the store management team. I will learn more today.
Slow global news day as well.

The rag known as the NY Times sent out a cub reporter to find all this out. Maybe Jimmy Olsen filed it years ago chasing Lois Lane thru that part of the world on holiday from the Daily Planet. Just thinking out loud.
