22 Oh Seventeen
I know, I know, I know. Last time I PROMISED this report would highlight the 2017 Great State Fair of Texas and I must in this instance be a promise breaker. No, wait. How about a promise SUSPENDER ?
I am thinking just slip in one (1) entry. I have notes, image and fresh memories AND it WAS a BLAST so once again, stay tuned for that stunning and stellar account of the Fair.
*** Editors note: I back-filled subject Fair entry. Rewind one (1) entry por favor. WS ***
What has be a all fired up at the moment is my return from the Beginning Experience ministry & retreat this weekend just passed. From a stressful drive south of town Friday afternoon into the early evening and starting the journey into the unknown to the closing prayer & departure this afternoon, the event was time totally well spent, highly recommended and spiritually a fantastic addition to my repertoire.
The staff was the best at facilitating & coaxing us, the ‘campers’, to expose and lay bare the hurt & damage from death of a spouse, divorce and separation. Surely neither easy nor a pleasant task by any means but they pulled it off and all walked away with a more positive outlook and I am thinking confidence going forward.
I received a report from Emma and Emma, Anna would greatly benefit from time spent at one of the BE retreats.. It is an national AND international organization so chances are there is an office of chapter near Lubbock. I know you will check it out on-line which is of course the smart thing to do and I know that I do not have to tell you that.
Other than that, no image today and after posting will IMMEDIATELY hit the rack. After two (2) nights in a twin (read ‘tiny’) bed in a room shared with one unnamed world-class snorer of Olympic proportions, a night at the cloud will be restful and most welcome. I am positive the other campers are looking forward to the same experience. But at their respective castles.
On the agenda this week, in some kind of order of importance, the Great State Fair of Texas, MAST art projects, brochures, marketing, sales and promotional material, tidying up the castle OR come up with some kind of plan to get that MAJOR tasking accomplished before the big event.
If all this were not enough, I need to find some time to get to the range and hit some balls. That Monday after MAST is the Volunteer outing at the Colonial CC. I simply GOTS to get some work in in advance so as to avoid the simply & truly mediocre AND forgettable performance of last year. Goals are improving my career ringer round AND hopefully a birdie or better birdies. Practice will boost confidence thus improving the probabiltiy of better play and performance which will make the day and outing a most pleasant memory.
This is Bill, the happy camper tonight signing off, turning off and calling it a day only to repeat tomorrow when the grande orange ball rolls around again.
